Evil is an opinion.

Hitler for example is seen as evil to us, but there are no evil people, just wrong people. Hitler was wrong - very wrong, but he thought he was doing something really good.

I must stress, what he did was not good, he was wrong.

I didn't mean a windows standard UI, more like what you described, that's a user interface too.

The photo manipulation thingy was interesting, I wonder how hard it would be to add features from photoshop to it, but keeping the fluid feel of the program.

Skjalg put it nicely, It's a symbol more than it is a logo representing an organisation.

Also, someone on slashdot asked what harm is it doing? It's always something positive in games, health, medkits etc. , not killing and blood. If anything it's teaching kids that the symbol means you can get help and first aid when you see it.
