Just though Id share a tip.
Open up Half Life single player, turn on cheats, load a map of interest, and bind a key to impulse 107 , this is the one that tells you what texture you are looking at.
Im doing [Blocked Image: http://mapcore.org/halflife_jpg/fifties_cmp3b.jpg] right now. So far so good. up to the bolts :x
I found it on a poly your not meant see, atop a platform your not meant to be able to get ontop of

Dont listen to them, there is a fair bit of potential here, you seem to understand the basics of hammer. Try making an indoor map they are easier to work with.
