  • The beginning of the end for 35mm?

the photographs become yellow if they arnt processed correctly, or if the technology wasnt quite up to par (like 70s color photos) but the actual film stays around in great condition for a long long time, and you can reprint with them, where as digital is just a file, just 1's and 0's that isnt anything actually tangible

i dont think he meant its more artistic just because its "the cool" thing to do, i think he meant it because there are things you can only do on film, more possibilities means more artistry

film has archival propertys that digital doesnt, i mean sure you can back up on hd after hd, but a harddrive isnt celluloid. i cant see 35mm going the way of the dodo

Its a good start, but it really seems empty still, not much is going on yet. Also the lighting seems a bit bright right now

Maybe its the fact that life is violent and games mimic life creating a whirlwind of logic in a prudish, ignorantly blissful upper middle class social dynamic that creates a fear of the unknown or worse the fear of the known and the spread thereof. So I propose: who cares? play what you want, create what you want.

if people do not like blood and gore then they shouldnt play the games, if parents dont like it, they shouldnt let their children play it. my parents are very strongly apposed to guns, and never let me play with toy guns. a Hostel game would be sweet, just to you can cut people toes off

i think games are not violent enough, if games were really violent the way they should, then people would look at q4, fear, and postal, and they'd be jokes! where are my voilent games? shooting someone? that isnt violent, i want games were we can torture people slowly, or peel off their skin hannibal style. one day in the not too distant future we'll look back and wish there were calm games like gta, or manhunt.

sorry to bust your rant nexus but the "rope from king kong's butt" was just a vine, already established to be around the island...BUT! there is a good point to be made of, the height of that cliff, and the length of the vine and exactly where it was going, if it wasnt pulled up by kong, they would have fallen to their deaths!

i thought it was really good, after reading all of those negative comments, i cant really say you guys are wrong, but i thought it more of an action film i guess...i did love the Trex fights wow, comeon that was cooool, and the bug scene WOW GROSS!!! i mean seriously, that was gross, i liked it! i thought actually NYC scenes were kinda the lamest, like the theater scene, and Naomi Watts walking through the fog, someone straight up laughed in the theater and i didnt blame them. I did think it was sad, Kong looked really good, downfall of this movie is taking it too seriously i guess.

i havnt seen kong yet, though i want to, as for LOTR, ya they were good, but still grossly overrated, as for my thoughts on Peter Jackson, to me he'll always be the director of Dead Alive (thats not a good thing)...

everything was black for me, i wasnt even going to comment because frankly i couldnt see ANYTHING...but i boosted my monitor brightness (alot) ... anyway i think its too dark for sure, i agree, that there are a whole lot of boxes in that 1 screen, but i think the whole visual dynamic would change a lot if you textured it white (ala vespin cloud city [starwars 5]) and that might even solve the darkness problem you got. you have nice brush work, so good work so far. also maybe think about changing the hl2's guy's face with Billy Dee Williams!
