Oh man, uDraw. I'd forgotten about that. A disaster of epic proportions.

You've been to so many amazing places, I want to kill you.

Beautiful photos throughout this thread, and I really like the latest one — love urban decay. Also noticed your comment about this forum being slow quite some time ago, I agree and wish incredible photos like this got more discussion. I'm going to apply some serious consideration to reorganising the creative forums to encourage people to get involved in both fields' discussion.

Always sad to see this happening, but it is important IMO it be highlighted when it does so it doesn't go unnoticed and so those affected can be helped back into work ASAP.

Good luck to all those affected, I was on the receiving end of a round of redundancies last year just before Christmas so know how galling it is to have your job ripped from beneath you at one of the most expensive times of year that's meant to be all joyful and shit...!

Aw, thank you guys.
One day I will have saved enough to dump this 2007-era PC, hopefully before the new SimCity.

Quote from Chimeray
Haven't been hyped in years since I usually don't watch trailers n shit so I don't get disappointed in the end.
But boy this is looking good!

Love the new trailer. I have faith they'll make a great film out of it considering who's involved and the kind of shit we got glimpses of in the trailer.

LMAO!!!!! Tears rolling down my cheeks at the Komodo Dragon bit!

This is possibly something I could implement, although it'd definitely be limited to only opening the posts/etc shown on the current page as that's a limitation with how these things are generated. That'd at the very least speed things up from like 10 clicks per page of posts to just one, though.
Let me know if there's further demand for this, and it can go in my to-do list which is still being tackled.

OK, really enjoyed that trailer. Seems like the art directors were hired straight out of Valve, though.

-
Interseting, Will Smith back with his son. That alone evokes memories of how good The Pursuit of Happyness was and makes me optimistic their chemistry together will elevate this film to a great high in the same way.
Kind of cautious due to the director, but then he's made some awesome stuff too so maybe this is his comeback.

I started playing MGS3 HD last week. That game has held up incredibly well, upscaled to HD you could easily mistake it for an early game of this generation and regardless it looks beautiful. Such rich attention to detail and great gameplay everywhere.

Yeah I'm pretty much gagging for a serious new MGS now. I've just not been drawn to all the side-games, even though they're meant to be good. I think Kojima knows people are desperate for an honest-to-god entry in the main series, I'm hoping Ground Zeroes will end up being some kind of bait and switch and it's all been some super-epic MGS5 all along.
QuoteHow amazing would it be if MGS5 completely bridged the gap between MGS3 and MGS1? So we get to play as Big Boss and/or Solid Snake both before and after his apparent death. Imagine playing Snake against Snake. This trailer could be him waking up after surviving being blown up by Solid Snake or something.

Probably far-fetched but this is the kind of crazy excited thinking Kojima always manages to get me doing right back to the old MGS2 trailers and the (fuckin') Raiden reveal.
All part of the fun. -
Haha, holy shit. It never ceases to amaze me how fans pick up on crazily obscure things like this. It's also hilarious how Kojima always teases the absolute hell out of everyone every time a new major MGS comes out.
Is it possible Ground Zeroes and 5 are one in the same? Kind of seems like it, but I don't even know any more. I feel like some manipulated hero led down a path of absolute self-destruction and insanity. Like Snake.

Haha, thanks for the gesture guys but I'd rather one of you have it — I'm so far behind with the AC games right now, still only just starting Revelations. I'd rather it to a quality MapCorian who'll make good use of it!

I see Tom Cruise isn't very popular.
I've always enjoyed his performances, and can't honestly say that his couch shit has had any more an effect on my enjoyment of his films than finding out how much of a dick Russell Crowe can be or Christian Bale's on-set meltdown. What actors are like as people is something I have no real interest in. -
Holy fuck! Right, watching no more trailers — this game is clearly going to own. Lack of environmental variety was my only worry and that's now passed.

-
Froyok, thanks for the further info about the unread thing — unfortunately I just accidentally deleted your post but I saw it and will be doing further work on fixing this soon.

Chimerey, it should be set up so there's a 'hide' button which doesn't completely delete it but does hide it from everyone else, allowing you to restore it later if you like. If this isn't appearing let me know and I'll reexamine the settings when I'm not on my phone.

All this stuff is exciting and awesome, but I'm left wondering: WTF does Ground Zeroes fit into all this? Has the game changed name? Because that seemed like it was being positioned at the next 'proper' MGS, taking place after MGS3 (which was incredible and I totally want to revisit that era or the intervening years) — the gameplay footage seemed like the MGS we know and love.
