Is it like Uncharted where if you're detected the extra enemies stick around forever (ugh), or like Metal Gear Solid where they piss off again after an alert period of time?

Heh. I'm OK with the camera staying where you died and simply pointing in the direction of the killer, after all you should know which direction they shot from if you pay attention to the damage indicators. But zooming in a bit so it's really obvious where they were and highlighting them in red... man, it's just so casual. If some fuck found a hiding place so good I didn't spot him he deserves to keep it.
What happened to Battlefield 1942–2142 where you died and just got a view of the sky above your bleeding corpse?

Ah man, have you seen those kill cams? The ones in Battlefield 3 weren't too bad because they zoomed right in on the killer and it was often hard to figure out where exactly they were, but this time it's much easier to see where they were and it shows you a red wallhack if there's something in the way.

I often play Battlefield in a very sneaky way, and while I'm used to shifting around after dying it really sucks for snipers and such — especially after the flash lights they had attached to their scopes in BF3.

I can't deny it, I've always had a soft spot for The Sims. I found #3 quite a disappointment though, due to performance issues and some other things I forget now.
Here's a little-known Thrik fact: The Sims 3 is what finally made me move out into my own home years ago. I was spending so much time in the game making my own meals, taking care of my own home, etc that I started thinking... what the fuck am I doing this in a game for when I could be out there doing it for real? So within a month I got a flat in another city and moved in.

I really like the way they're doing Sim customisation now. Being able to just drag around the Sims' bodies to reshape them to make giant asses and stuff is so much better than the horrible slider-based way of doing it that's in everything from Mass Effect to Skyrim. It's about time this shit was improved and hopefully we'll see something like this in any game with customisable characters from now on.
Anyway... it's The Sims. You pretty much know what you're getting, although apparently there's going to be a lot more emotional depth to the Sims. It's kind of hilarious that they claim to have all these realistic new psychological things in place then in the trailer a guy is sent into a deep depression while in the middle of chatting up some girl by some hipster dude playing on the violin.

Also it looks like for the first time they've seriously evolved the tools for building, etc. It seems ironic that they've simplified the tools for building houses by making them more like working with rectangle primitives in 3DS.

I knew those shaders he released were shady...

Yeah, I agree with you there Algor. Does anybody have any animation knowledge and fancies animating these curtains?

Here you go dude, feel free to use. Make sure to credit me though.

This should be a Mario Kart type game.

Kind of sucks to potentially put so much work in and not be able to get any money from it, though. Even if it is a passion project, that's a tall order for a small studio...

Weird twist, Gearbox have turned round and said that actually they can continue making it and release it non-commercially if they want:

Ball's back in your court Sentura! I mean, Interceptor.

Jesus this game is off the charts visually. I thought Origins looked great but the more painterly sprites and such are... fuck I want this right now.

Why would he do such a thing.

-
I have no idea what is meant to be going on in that pic.
-
Yeah I've not watched it either, lol. The only thing I've seen him in is Malcolm in the Middle, so to keep hearing he plays some massive bad-ass and is soon going to be Superman's ultimate villain is kind of weird.

I think Man of Steel 2 is the vs movie.

BTW, it looks like amidst all this Affleck bullshit it's been heavily rumoured that Breaking Bad dude is Lex Luther.

I can't deny it though, I did really like Kevin Spacey's performance as Luther in the questionable Superman Returns:

Good point. Or perhaps just a really, really big garden outside the hotel with a fence around the edge just to isolate how far away from any possible help you are. Maybe a few tiny buildings too far away to hear your screams.

I actually quite like the red, its warmth contrasts quite well with the horrific potential of the scene (which otherwise looks lovely and depressing). What could be cool is keeping the wallpaper red, but having the lights give off a green hue rather than just being warm/white which adds that creepy touch. It'd need balancing so it doesn't look stupid of course.
-
I like it, looks like the worst place imaginable to stay — which is the point.

I think the scene would really come alive if you added a ghastly ghost woman right at the end of the hallway, barely discernible.

I'm not really interested in the multiplayer anyway, I just want me some epic Roman action. I wouldn't mind there being a mythological element to the game (get to use pretty much the same shit as God of War) but it looks quite realistic which is fine too.
