I have no GTA5.
This just fuels my excitement and penis tingles. -
That's great to hear. I think I'd have killed myself if I'd spend fuckloads of time nurturing some gorgeous car then it disappeared. What about if you destroy it, like drive it off a pier? Is it gone forever?

Ah man that's hilarious lmao. I'm think we're starting to need a 'Hurg Sightings' page on the site. If only I had screenshots...

Classic map.

OK, let's just stop this before it starts getting out of hand and remember two of MapCore's few guidelines:
Quote1. Discuss games respectfully, chances are a MapCore member helped create them
2. Be constructive when criticising other members' work
Unless I'm missing something, Minos politely asked that Dux tone down the way he presents his criticism a bit, and Dux acknowledged the request while making it clear that he's just a genuine fan with genuine criticisms (which is fine). Nobody took things too personally and the problem was resolved. It should have ended there really rather than starting to venture into character assassination and slating other games and shit.
So how about that Diablo 3 guys???

I really hope it's not too controlled and you can feed the animals bricks and stuff. Seeing what happens when you do stupid things is what made games like Roller Coaster Tycoon so hilarious.

I want to let the lions out and lock the park gates.

Ah man, Brucie lmao. GTA4 had some amazing characters, hope GTA5 does too.

MGS has always had absolutely spot-on gameplay, literally defining the rules of how a stealth game should be made. Pretty much every time I play something with stealth components I think 'Well, they got a lot of it right but they're missing X from MGS that'd make it so much better'. I think the hype about its stories and graphics often makes people forget that the gameplay is really, really satisfying.
Whether or not you can also get on board with the series' characters, world, and stories is what'll make the difference between you hating the series because the cutscenes, etc are always getting in the way, and absolutely loving it. I personally fall on the latter side; I think the MGS stories are retarded but ingenious. They somehow take deep issues (nuclear proliferation in MGS1, information/internet control in MGS2, the madness of war and friends becoming enemies the next day in MGS3, and a world dominated by wars between private armies and computers in MGS4) while also being OTT to the point of hilarity.

I only skimmed through a few moments of it but it just looked like the footage they first showed to me. Fairly typical MGS gameplay, probably some kind of tutorial section. I spotted Snake carrying a dead/unconscious dude really quickly though, which is better than the slow-ass shit in the previous games.

Holy shit, what's this?
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2370518/?
David Hayter is credited as voicing David, which was Solid Snake's real name as revealed in MGS1 — and Big Boss, while Keifer continues to be credited as Punished Snake. WHAT IS GOING ON?!

Yeah it did seem stupidly easy to smash up vehicles in GTA4. I know having it explode in a populated area can be hilarious but it's really lame to feel like the slightest scuff will turn your rare gorgeous vehicle into a pile of shit that explodes. It'd be nice if there was a bit more stickiness to cars too, i.e. they don't just disappear forever when you go a block away or do a mission. It was hard to really feel like it was worth investing in/keeping cars in IMO because I know it'd just end up disappearing because of some mission or some random crash.
Is the amount of buildings you can go in about the same as GTA4 too? I guess there are still lots of mission buildings to go in, but it would be nice if more shops and shit were usable.

Can you still totally trash cars like in GTA4 though?

So, it's out. It took all night but I got it onto my iPhone 4S last night. I have to say, it's lovely to use. The flat style works very well on a relatively small screen in your hand, even if I still don't like that Safari icon.
Forgetting the style though, what I really like are the many small improvements to the stuff I do every day. The camera app is much faster and has finally caught up with Instagram, etc; Safari supports more than eight tabs; the UI when making a phone call is much better (I do a lot of conference calls so this is invaluable); texting is slicker; the calendar works better; home screen folders now have sub-pages so they're almost like mini-home screens; transitions are universally better (including stealing Android's lovely fade when turning the screen off/on the notification bar is finally truly useful; and basically there are just improvements to the ease-of-use and presentation of information everywhere.
So yeah, apart from the style it's definitely a case of iteration over big new features, but I would argue that end-to-end refinement of the UI is something that's been needed for years now.

You should be OK with Amazon anyway, they let you return anything unopened for like 30 days (in the UK at least).
