I thought Postal 2 was a joke to be honest, having both played and been exceedingly unimpressed by it. The humour seems like it came right from the imagination of a college goth, consisting of little more than uninspired violence of exceedingly bad taste. I mean, what merits has it possibly got? That you can smack a priest to death with a shovel and then piss on him? Yes, definitely a high achievement of game design, there.

    Just an opinion, though.

It's a proprietary engine as far as I'm aware. It's definitely a far cry from Far Cry, but then it does seem to keep the real defining characteristic of the original: an absolutely massive area that you can approach in many different ways.

    Oh.

My PS3 can get pretty loud, I'd imagine even louder than a 360 as I can't imagine anything being louder. It takes a lot to get it to put its fans into boeing mode though, usually a combination of putting it in a tight space and it being a very hot day. I'm moving it to a new media room soon purely so I can put it in a stand with better airflow.

Some people really do crave nothing more than the credit for making something. They don't care if they put any work into it.

You know, the kind of office asshole who'd stab everyone in the back on his way to the top, and take the props for what his coworkers do whenever they're not around. The worst part is they'll probably enjoy a good life as a result of their dirty ways, while those of us that can't feel accomplishment/satisfaction/etc unless we actually put the work in often get ripped off.

I'd take the joy of making something over the credit any day, though. I've been humbled by meeting enough of the guys described above to just not take credit very seriously these days. Even if the guys were saying the map is nice to him, I'd feel good knowing I'm the one who really created it. It'd still be in my portfolio/etc for when I really need the credit for having made it.

Sure you're not accidentally playing on a PS3?

Could be a region-specific oddity, I guess. Or something.

Must have been a mistake in the review I read, then. It said the 360 only had two of the three TV view angles, lacking the ultra-close one.

Hope it is there though as the shows are awesome when blown up.

You just press select until you get the view, Peris. I think it's a PS3-only thing though because the Blu-Ray discs have the capacity to store the high-resolution versions of the TV shows.

    To quote Wikipedia:

    Quote

There are 13 mercenaries in the game; ten playable male characters and three female characters.

Yeah, I love the TV. I just use the zoomed-in view so it fills my actual TV and relax while eating or whatever.

Yes. Resident Evil 5 is set there too. Perhaps Africa will be the new WW2 Europe.

Pretty much any shop's budget shelf, probably. eBay and some other places on Froogle are full of cheap copies, too.

Going into an actual shop is one of the few times where it's usually superior to buying online. They can afford to just keep them around at relatively high prices indefinitely on places like Steam, while in shops they'll practically give them away just to get them out the building.

That looks amazing! I love the contrast the desaturated colours have with the neon green stuff — works beautifully.

From what I've read and seen of this game it's going to very potentially be awesome.

I know what you meant, I just wondered why you think not many people use it. I see people with stereo set-ups all the time, including myself.

I'd take two high-quality speakers over five average-quality speakers any day. Assuming you have a fixed budget and have to choose either way, of course.

Didn't know people still use stereo? Wha?
