If I'm a noob then I don't know what that makes the entire remaining players on the server lower than me on the scoreboard. ![]()

Looks awesome.

That'll suit defensive scouts like me really well, as I rarely double jump.

Winning might be though, assuming that the entrants will be really pushing the boundaries of what the engines can cope with. Plus, it doesn't necessarily have to be a realistic movie — could be something completely fantastical.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7892294.stmQuoteA Royal Navy nuclear submarine was involved in a collision with a French nuclear sub in the middle of the Atlantic, the MoD has confirmed.
QuoteThe submarines are equipped with sonar to detect other vessels nearby but our correspondent said it be might be the case that the anti-sonar devices, meant to hide the submarines from enemies, were "too effective".
Quote"The collision of two submarines, both with nuclear reactors and nuclear weapons onboard, could have released vast amounts of radiation and scattered scores of nuclear warheads across the seabed."
Fuckers are lucky. But man, what are the odds of two stealth nuclear submarines colliding in the middle of the Atlantic?

Weird, wonder why that didn't come up when I searched before. These forums are against me. :-|

I must say, I really like Koko's. Totally captures that underwater feeling — at least I think it's meant to be underwater.

FYI this forum now accepts uploads of .bsp, .zip, and .rar files, as per Sentura's request.

That baby thing is pretty messed up. What was that great big sweaty girl doing shagging such a young-looking kid anyway?
I mean becoming a parent at such an age isn't that unheard of — even my mum's step-sister had a kid at 13. But one that looks more like eight years old? Sick bitch.

That is basically just amazing. Here's the direct link to the HD version by the way:

From what I've seen the storyline is only very loosely tied to Inglorious Bastards, and wouldn't really be considered a remake — more of a nod to the inspiration, I think. I have a habit of enjoying Tarantino films so I'm sure this will be no exception.

That does look rather beautiful.

Surely the development is done with a PS3 dev kit, e-freak?

Gamers... predictable? Never!

Is that some kind of collection you're building or do you actually play all these old games, Quakis?

Good to see some fine games like Outlaws on there, though.

Ah, well I suppose you're right there — it's definitely not much good for competitive play. I do think it adds good value to the general public experience though, which is all I've generally gotten from multiplayer games for years now.

Depends on the game. Battlefield is more like Team Fortress 2 in that the unlockable kits aren't really upgrades as such, but more like alternatives. For example in 2142, the assault class could unlock an automatic rifle that fired more slowly than the default and had much higher recoil, but each shot had more stopping power. So it was more difficult to use, but when mastered was very effective — you just had to make every shot count.
I think it works well because it's an incentive to keep playing (I can almost see where this MMORPG addiction comes from), and also introduces the weapons that're a bit easier to wield to the newbies. I see the unlockables in TF2 the same way, where newbies are given the chance to simply get used to the regular weapons and then the depth is layered on gradually.
With that said, there are some anomalies such as one later unlockable in BF2142 basically being a direct upgrade of an earlier one (stealth camo that lasts twice as long), but it doesn't really have much of an overall impact.

I think you might be asking a question nobody can really answer yet, Sentura. The demo is so short nobody can conclusively say they like the game, because we're kind of operating on the assumption that the final game will mix things up and vary the gameplay like any other FPS does — and also that there'll be some semblance of a storyline weaved into it.
Considering that plenty of the aforementioned is shown in this trailer:
http://www.gametrailers.com/player/42076.html?type=flv
... that testimonials from reviews and players of the final game such as [HP] say this is the case, and that there're mech/vehicle sections and all sorts, it's fair to assume those who find the demo combat enjoyable will probably find the full game enjoyable too. Just like if you enjoy the first 10 minutes of Half-Life 2's combat (ie: the bit after you leave Kleiner's lab) you'll probably enjoy the rest, even though what's in the rest of the game isn't even hinted at in the demo.
The combat in the demo is as fun as I can expect from such a short segment — presumably more so once the option of playing on hard is available — and the game in general has a great theme and backstory just like its predecessor. A combination of my demo experience, the reviews, the gameplay footage, and the WW2/sci-fi hybrid theme makes me more than willing to give it a good go. I suspect this is how a lot of pro-Killzone 2 people feel right now.
Although I have to admit, the trailer and reviews alone kind of tipped the balance for me. I didn't need to play the demo to know I'd give the game a go, even though the demo did cement that somewhat.

Yeah, that's the original Bad Company in the video. The sequel is coming out around the end of the year, and will have a full-blown PC release unlike its predecessor.

The most compelling thing for me is that the Bad Company engine has very destructable environments, meaning trees and walls won't stop your tank dead in its tracks like they annoyingly do in BF2 and BF2142. Plus obviously it means tiny little bits of cover won't necessarily save your skin, etc. I think that aspect alone will add a lot to the experience.

Okay mother fucker, this seems a bit more like my thing!
External Content www.youtube.comContent embedded from external sources will not be displayed without your consent.Through the activation of external content, you agree that personal data may be transferred to third party platforms. We have provided more information on this in our privacy policy.QuoteThe Conquest game mode returned to Bad Company due to overwhelming requests from players during the beta testing. Conquest was the prevalent game-mode in many of the preceding Battlefield games, and involves reducing the opponents' "ticket" meter by scoring kills and capturing strategically placed flags. The game has 25 ranks, each from the U.S. Army (corporal, sergeant, Colonel etc.), much like its PC counterpart, Battlefield 2 (although BF2 uses Marine Corps ranks).
The highest rank (General of the Army) takes 37,000 in-game points, compared to an average of 50-650 per game. Unlock credits may be obtained by ranking up and then the aforementioned credits may be used to unlock weapons.
From what I can tell, this shit is classic Battlefield (2) through and through. Considering that the sequel is getting a full PC version, will almost certainly have more unlocks/etc, and that conquest will be built in from the beginning... well, roll on Bad Company 2.

I guess the most striking difference is that there's no commander role, but whether or not that'll be the case for the sequel is an unknown. Whatever the case though, I think I'll enjoy this a lot more than 1943 which seems a bit too watered down.
