If your office has poorly ventilated bathroom facilities, don't have a gigantic, disgusting, smelly shit and then leave the door wide open so the smell may invade the entire office and get sucked into the air conditioning. Or, do this if you have malicious feelings towards your employers and colleagues. ![]()

Ah, got you. I very rarely need to touch my actual accessories so it hasn't bothered me much, usually set them once and never again.
I do swap weapons a lot though, can never decide whether I like the AN-94 or M16A3 best. I am forever switching between them believing it to be 'the one' and becoming disillusioned within minutes.

Why would you even do that, wtf.

I actually agree with 5. Scrolling through weapons and accessories one at a time when changing them is pretty bogus. It's not excruciating, but I actually have to think about it and put in the effort to recognize each item instead of scanning a list for what I want or pushing in the direction of the icon I know from a wheel or grid or something. I want to say Bad Company 2 did it better, but it's been a billion years since I played Bad Company so I'm probably completely off there.
Edit: IIRC, I think BC2 might've shown gun stats on the equipment menu as you scroll past them, making them more easy to compare. BF3 gives you way less info.Looking at that video it seems the console UI is completely different, but in the PC version you can simply click each weapon on the spawn screen and immediately swap it with any other weapon in your arsenal via a small pop-up — same applies for specialisations, etc. I don't think it could really be any more streamlined.

if you want to be cool with "the colleagues", get a nerf gun and ride around on a scooter in the office.for extra coolness turn the nerf gun into a steampunk gun by glueing lego technic cogs to it
Haha. We did a variation of this in that we stuck extremely sharp pins to the end of each round.

Sounds quite nice, Skjalg.

I will add that almost every time I go out in Nottingham I stop by a place I'm sure D3ads is familiar with, the Pit and Pendulum, for a cocktail.
I usually have 'De Kuyper Crème de Menthe Green and Crème de Cacao White, with cream and milk poured over ice', or 'Russian Standard Vodka and Malibu, with cool cranberry juice and finished with a squeeze of lime'. Fuckin' lovely. :derp: -
Like most 20-something Brits I tend to drink a lot of cider, mostly:

I used to really like this but I've not seen it around for a good few years now:

Don't really see any other worthwhile white/sweet beers in supermarkets. Might have to try one of the more refined and sophisticated alcohol shops.

Looking good Helder, almost like a movie star.

awesome HP! Didn't see the ending coming.
Will watch some of those longer ones above when I have a bit more time.

-
Wow, that's a huge improvement.
The extra details and lack of uniformity really makes it look a thousand times better. -
I really enjoy watching short movies, but I only come across new ones by word of mouth every now and then. It'd be nice to have a thread where awesome new ones can be shared for my pleasure (and everyone else's I guess).

Here's one I just watched, a lovely post-apocalyptic short that while pretty clichéd and lacking story is executed so well it's great to watch nonetheless:
And here's an oldie posted on MapCore before but it seems appropriate for anyone who hasn't had the pleasure of seeing it.

Looking incredible. In many ways I was expecting it to be little more than a risk-free reinterpretation of the old games with newer graphics, but it looks like they're keen on implementing all sorts of revolutionary simulations and systems into the game — as someone who loves that kind of of complexity I'm ridiculously excited.

Thanks for spotting that, have fixed it now. :derp:
There were some issues with getting the domain set up on the new server, so rather than wait potentially weeks if not months for it to be figured out (and delaying the move) I thought it'd be wise to just roll with the secondary domain, at least for now.
-
As described before, the move to a new server is now complete. This has taken me until like 3am so there are some remaining optimisations and fine-tuning to be done, but nothing stopping the forums from being usable. If you have any issues with staying logged in or anything like that, I recommend going to your web browser settings and deleting any MapCore-related cookies.
The more eagle-eyed of you may notice that the forums are now on mapcore.org instead of forums.mapcore.net, due to unforeseen consequences. The latter will redirect to the former indefinitely, but you'd be wise to update your bookmarks so you don't have to be redirected every time.
Please leave a reply if something has become broken during the move. I've tested everything I can think of, but you never know.

Haha.
I love birgirpall's videos, he's done loads of highly entertaining BF3 ones and he understands brevity.Edit: lmao
