Am I the only one who is happy about this? lolMOAR BATTLEFIELD. YUSSSS

Edit: This guy put it pretty well imo http://www.videogamer.com/xbox360/battl ... oblem.html

I'm excited, but I think after such a huge gap between BF2142 (best in the series yet) and BF3 it feels weird to be getting another so soon. I hope it's a dramatically different setting and tone, as BF3 along with its expansions has pretty much done the modern thing to death.

Interesting project, so it's all fictional right? Or are you actually going places in character? I'll keep an eye on it anyway!

Everyone needs to Rate this on steam and get it boosted up the charts. Fucking great pack that is completely hidden on the workshop.

Very true, just favourited and rated it myself — hope others do too!

Looks great knj, in many ways it gives me a similar vibe to Alan Wake and considering the best foresty environments of this type ever made are in that game that's a good thing. The strange use of colour works IMO, especially if you were to give it the slant of being an isolating horror type game where the life has been sapped out of the surroundings. If you do ambience you should make it creepy as hell, weirdly quiet.

The first shot is lovely. Definitely a great piece for your portfolio. Second angle is best left out IMO.

Only game magazines I buy are Edge and Games™, which are actually really good because they focus more on the development and thinking behind games rather than the games themselves. PC Gamer is pretty much garbage so I'm not surprised they have hilarious errors like this.

Rockstar closes Vancouver studio, expands Toronto offices

    Quote

Rockstar has announced that it has closed Bully and Max Payne 3 studio Rockstar Vancouver, but that all 35 staff have been "offered the opportunity" to move to Rockstar Toronto.“We believe a single Canadian team will make for a powerful creative force on future projects."

While no staff have been made redundant, they now face a 4000km relocation across the country in order to take up their new positions.

Shieeeeet. Not a good place to be living for industry dudes.

Haven't all phones from like the past 10 years had reasonable cameras on them?

Well I have no issue of it but I would have liked to have seen if I recognised the game in the mystery shots.

IRC still has a fair few people on it, I think the average is about 30 people — although how many of them are actually paying attention is a different story.

For a few years prior to these forums being erected in 2003 MapCore didn't really exist outside of IRC, so it was extremely busy until several years ago. Now there's still usually people around (including those who for whatever reason never made the jump to the forums), and I'm always in there when I'm on my home computer.

Kind of sad to see it such a shell of its former self (ie: hundreds of people online at any one time) but I guess that's representative of us all growing up and not being able to sit on IRC all day. I for one find it much easier to work forums around my life!
