Aye, no one's blaming you, I used other games texture on some of my previous maps as well!

And I bet we all did at a certain point!

I've got a bunch of doom and quake textures in my Source folder. It was marked as a free public domain texture pack when I downloaded it and the author claimed he made it.

I've still got it for the lava textures. Where else am I supposed to get lava in Source?

I generally use a mixture of texture book stuff, stock material and cgtextures for texture maps, so I probably end up using stuff that looks like it's from other games anyway, it's not like I just throw stuff together in five minutes though

If you look at the first page you'll see my early concept for the character 'skinhead', I've since had him modelled and I've finished the skin job, take a look:

Is that you sarcastically saying there's too much blood?

i like it! i especially like the grittyness of the model (overall). i do think however, that there could be a little less blood on the backside of his pants and arms/shoulders.

When you smash someone in the head with a sledgehammer a lot of blood tends to spray out, so I figured it would be more 'realistic' with the blood splatters. I did have more blood on him but I thought it was too excessive so I trimmed it down.

We now interupt this program for an urgent news bulletin...

    The Forgotten needs YOU!

I need someone or some people to design layouts for certain locations, they need to be realistic and laid out neatly so that a map can be drawn from them (TF will feature a fully working map system). I currently do have someone meant to design layouts but he's MIA and I haven't spoken to him in ages. With him not producing new layouts for me to work from, it's making it hard to design the environments.

    Areas I need plans for are;

    Nate's Motel

    Pinewood County Police Station

    Linhares Manor

    Urkham Asylum

    Pinewood Creek town

Layouts for The Elderworld and additional locations I can produce myself but when it comes to making plans for maps I am not so good. I've already made a rough plan of the town but I need a fully detailed drawing of the town with buildings, item locations, key areas etc.

If you can help me out, drop me a PM sometime.

In addition to this, as you may now know TF is no longer a one man project, the team is:

Me - Creator, Storyline, environment design, texture/skin art, layouts and general being of extreme awesomeness.

Minuit - Coding, model rigging, editing, compiling.

    Shad Haque - Character/creature/prop modelling.

    Magnussen - Layout design.

    Antti Lehtola - Music.

    Daedolon - Music.

Look forward to hearing from any of you

I imagine your body would block it, covering the front with blood, with some spray wrapping around the sides but not enough to cover it. This is the type of thing we really need to try out, any volunteers?

    Well, he can't help it.

I'd be nice if they edited this together as d3ad seemed to be under a bit of "SPEAK NOW" pressure, but that said it was a pretty nice interview and they asked nice questions that allowed you to talk about your mod rather than some kind of interrogation.
