lol, yeah I remember I made the "mistake" of using one of the default presets of the program, I just changed it a bit. At that time, it was supposed to be just a playground map, not a serious entry for a competition, otherwise I would have tried to make something a bit more unique.

You can always try other apps dude, there's plenty of them. Here's a tut on how to import heightmaps to SB2 from WorldMachine: http://crymod.com/thread.php?threadid=11097

I didn't take that shot, but I'm sure it was taken with my cfg!

    Wow... damn awesome, thank you.

Ace. Yeah, I missed it -- I rarely check the engine forum.

Looks good, though. I ordered the full version of Crysis the other day so I should have it soon; the demo was a bit stuttery at times on 'High', so I look forward to giving your config a go to enjoy a more optimised experience.

My specs are pretty much in line with what you recommend. My 1920x1200 resolution is the killer in most games, though.

Lol, 1920*1200 is a big no-no for a game like Crysis! consider yourself lucky to run it @ 1280 maxed out.

    Just a small update:

Nothing major, because on the last few days I've been busy with the FlowGraph (Scripting) and messing with the enemy AI, which is a bit tricky and require alot of patience, but It's getting there...

    Looks a bit repetitive.

Yeah it is dominated by brown I'd suggest getting some other colors in to break it up a bit more.

I'd vote for a whiter sand.. but that'd be just me I guess

Yes, I added some more variation to that small area already!

I've been doing some small mine workers encampment, will post some screens soon.

Oh, and about the white sand... White sand is for paradisiac environments, which is definitely not what I'm aiming at!

Do some Volcanic black sand then. Definatly needs less brown.

I see what you mean, yeah I guess if you wanted a darker sand than that'd work too.. I wasnt really suggesting like the sand on beaches you see in Corona beer commercials just a different brown than the mountain and dirt.

Yeah Meotwister, thanks for the feedback! I understood your point, and although dark sand might look good on "real life", i doubt it would look good in a game environment, it would probably look like an error from the level designer itself or something... I'm using the original white sand texture from Crysis map Island, but giving it a slightly yelow/brown tint. (You can paint your textures on terrain with color/brightness variations in SandBox2)

    Thanks KT!

Still no vegetation, but the "human objects" are mainly done, both exterior and interiors!
