Out of curiosity, how does this editor handle custom content? (Texture / Models are allowed to be imported correct?)

Going to the topic in hand: Your map looks very nice. The rocks really do need some moss though!

The editor handles custom meshes and textures perfectly, although we are a bit limited because Crytek didn't released the SDK yet, so it isn't possible to import bones, animations, and a few other things.

Atm, my main concern is make a joyful and perfectly playable map, with a good gameplay flow, and no bugs. If I finish the map and still have some free time till the end of the contest, I'll make a couple of custom assets for this map as well, we shall see!

Exactly my thoughts. What's so "Crysis'ish" in those pics anyway?

I wouldn't say that the HL2 family of games looks shit, even now. The overall look is still more accomplished than the muddy mess in a lot of newer games.

Of course that's just down to good art direction.

Well for one, the way he has this final map planned is that it will have about 5 of these warehouses visible at once, THATS what makes it Crysis

Oh man I love that engine...

Hey guys, I finally baptized the map has “Volcano”, this name obviously has a reason behind the story of the map, you’ll discover it when you play it!

Now, onto the interesting stuff, here’s seven new screenshots, hope you like it, and don’t forget to post your opinions on it, every help is very much appreciated, thanks.

You are going to knock this map out of the park. Huge improvements since we first saw it, everything's coming together really well.

I need to hurry up and order my new system... I'm still holding off on installing Crysis so I can enjoy it properly.

Yeah good luck on getting that 18 core system.

Nice shots man, it's easy to make anything look good with the crysis editor, no? Even if you have hands made out of ham.

Well, I messed with many editors before, and so far SandBox2 is the most intuitive of them all, but that does'nt mean the editor does all the work for you, obviously you need to have good eye for detail!

Btw, good job on you'r Doom3 pic you posted dux!

    Thanks guys
