Mario Galaxy...

    How is there no thread yet for Mario Galaxy? The game is brilliant in every way. So far I've gotten 20 stars, and the game is not only staying fresh, but using they seem to be outdoing themselves with every new world. In a world of desaturated brown and gray shooters, this game stands alone on it's own pedestal, with beautiful colors and clean visuals, blending old school looks with next generation techniques. The game does such a good job at teaching the player how to use new mechanics, and then putting them to use, and often time expanding on a certain technique. All of the uses of the Wiimote seem very natural and within the realms of what can be asked from any given player. What a random jumble of praise, but what can I say, the game is great. More feedback as I continue to play...

    The most impressive thing is its simplicity, I think. They've managed to pull back from some of the complexities of of Mario Sunshine and still make the game feel like something more.

    I actually bought a component cable just to play Mario, and it really does look beautiful. And yeah, all the Wii functionality is really well used, and theres so much variation in it. Got about 25 stars so far, loving it so far~

    i play this when i have friends over. so far we've gotten some 30ish stars, fits with about 25% done (120 stars, no?). i love the game, it's great gameplay and the controls are so intuitive... except for the swimming part.. or at least i suck at it :\

    Did that in three sittings, but they were LONG sittings.

    Yes, this game is amazing. It is basically just owning me with awesomeness time after time, and has really recaptured the childhood magic that I remember Mario 64 delivering.

    My favourite part is how deeply embedded into past Mario memories it is. Everywhere you turn there's classic music, classic characters (Magikoopas!), and classic gameplay. Yet this is all alongside the most innovative platforming action since Mario 64.

    I've played it a year ago in a trade show in Paris, and even then it just felt astonishingly good. As in, this really is the game the Wii was made for, not the other way around.

    I can only imagine how even more polished it can be....

    I'm kinda putting this off until I've got more time on my hands - Assassin's Creed, K&L and Mass Effect are first up. I'm far from being a big Mario/Nintendo fan, but I did enjoy Mario 64 back in the day, so here's hoping I'm not gonna be disappointed.

    I have not been a huge Mario fan over the years; I never owned a console before the Gamecube and had always just played the older games in short bursts (at least, until recently starting some coop super mario world on the Wii VC with ken ).

    This is one of the best games I have ever played.

    It's just... fun. Every part of it. It screws with your head constantly and remains challenging but not impossible. The controls are spot-on, the visuals are stylish and the best on the wii, and I still can't get over how creative some of these levels and general game mechanics are.

    This game is in itself worthy reason to purchase a Wii, and missing out on it is akin to never having played the first Mario. It's fantastic.

    Super Mario Galaxy is awesome.

    now YOU should buy a wii or/and Super Mario Galaxy, because is truly worth the money, and its somehow very cheap in holland :S 45 euro's..
