I was once convicted of armed robbery.

When I was about 16, some guy came down the main high street in my town and proceeded to kick in a huge shop window. It was surreal. He then asked my brother for his hat (my brother politely told him "no") before sauntering off as if nothing had happened. Bizarre. When the police turned up we drove around trying to find the guy and point him out, but he'd already done one by that point.

yeah, where i used to live there where these 3 persons breaking in, in many houses over nights, and the last house they "visited" they "stole" a digital camera and took pictures of them selves and forgot the camera at the crime scene, inside the building..

I didn't witness this but it happened in my city:

A guy jumped in a kids buffet (dunno how to call it, it's a place that you can rent to throw parties for kids) at night to steal monies, dvd players, videogames and whatever he could find. Then he found some frozen food on the refrigerator, he made it and ate it.

The next morning, the people went to work and found a guy sleeping on a chair with lots of food around him, then proceeded to call the police. PWNT

I know somebody who was out with a friend, his friend recieved got a text message from his girlfriend and allowed him to text back whatever he wanted, and made a big deal of not looking what was sent. The reply was “cant talk now, in a hostage situation,” which was funny until the armed police showed up at his house at 5 in the morning.

how did the girlfriend know where they were (if they were in a hostage situation they could have been anywhere). I doubt the police would have gone to the trouble of tracking a mobile phone; if there was a hostage situation the police would most likely know about it already (otherwise it's just people sitting in your house telling you you can't leave - there needs to be demands and people to make those demands to).

Why didn't the girlfriend call back, text back, etc etc before simply calling the police.

The whole thing is very amusing, but reeks of fake.

If I was going to make something up, it’d be a bit more impressive than that. Maybe they could’ve thrown flash bangs through the window and riddled a mannequin full of bullets (which my friend animates using voodoo magic). The GF just panicked, told the police and where they were. Phone wasn’t answered, so they sent some people to check it out. They'd already contacted the club they were at and verified it was probably BS - they didn't burst through the windows or anything.

Track the phone? I can't remember saying they were somewhere wierd, in fact "his house" was used in the description. Though they were actually at a club when the message was sent.

Edit: Actually, I'm pretty sure he's a goon. So I imagine it'd be posted on GB if you've an account.

I once got arrested for taking a leak in the streets

A guy from where I live got sent to jail for 4 months because he was drunk and took a pee on a video-renting machine, on the street.

My sister's boyfriend knows two guys whose hobby is stealing stuff in stores... One night they built a long stick with parts of brooms and other junk and inserted it into the mail hole of a brand-clothes shop, catching shirts with a hook at the end of the stick. They had already 30 shirts out of the shop when a cop patrol passed in front of their car (they weren't visible from the street with all the cars parked) and since they had left their own headlights on, the cops found that strange and caught them. Nice try!

Some fags once called my mom and claimed they had kidnapped my bro (there was a random guy crying in the distance and shouting stuff like "mom they are going to kill me" etc).

She tried to call him but his celphone was turned off sadly. Then the "kidnappers" started to threaten to murder him blah blah blah. They almost drove my mom crazy

Fake kidnaps are rather popular here, which sucks hard.

They don't do it for fun KT. Fake kidnaps are played by prisoners who somehow have access to celphones and call random people in order to steal easy money.

In my city there was a guy which was burning up some cars. Few mad victums hunted him at night with few molotovs. Dont know what they done to him but there is no more accidents like burning a cars...
