    Gamespot:

    http://uk.gamespot.com/pc/action/crysis/index.html

"Crysis is visually stunning, packed with intelligent, thrilling gameplay, and easily one of the greatest shooters ever made." 9.5/10

    Eurogamer:

    http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?ar ... 423&page=1

"This is a game that feels supremely engineered, like a precision machine, or a German automobile. It makes Half-Life 2 seem old and frail, but by the same token it does nothing to diminish the imaginative achievements of that series." 9/10

    IGN:

    http://uk.pc.ign.com/articles/834/834614p1.html

"Crysis is one of, if not the, most stunningly beautiful games we've ever seen. But even beyond that, it's a pretty fantastic shooter. Solid weapons, intelligent enemies, and fairly open level designs mix with nano-suit powers to make this one of the more entertaining ballistic showdowns in some time." 9.4/10

Has a current metacritic score of 93 as well:

Mh if Metascore stays 93 I think someone at Eurogamer will bite his ass (Half-Life 2: 96)

Apart from this: Well deserved all Crytekians (Frie, Alf, Narby, everyone else )

80% score at 1up, seems halfway thru the game becomes a linear experience.

As I recall they gave HL and HL2 the same score.

I find that PC Gamer US are sometimes a bit generous with their scoring. Not that I need a number to tell me if I find a game good or not

I'm in Frankfurt right now, I've been to the Crytek office this morning and everyone seems to be pretty happy about the scores the game has received overall.

Release party begins in a few hours, should be fun

(word on the street is that hessi is showing up)

    Thanks for the comments!

i just recieved the game, and i have to say from about 20 minutes of play, that this game is absolutely stunning - the graphics, the gameplay, the atmosphere. not having played the demo i didn't know what i was going into, but this game truly exceeded whatever expectations i had.

    huge grats to frie ;D

someone gave bioshock 100% / 10/10 so yeah, seems like bioshock and crysis are both the best game ever, utterly perfect in every way.

Scores are pretty retarded anyway, who gives 'so-and-so' the right to judge whether X is better than Y in terms of Z. I can see the point of them but they are still dumb.

Yes, I think scores would be much better if they learnt from the film industry and just restricted it to four stars, which are relative. So if a game gets four stars that just means 'excellent', three means 'good', 'etc'.

The problem with the current shitty system that most sites/magazines use (percentages and stuff) is it introduces the element of one game being 2% better than another. How the hell do you justify a 2% difference in words? I bet even the reviewers themselves couldn't say why Crysis deserves 96% and BioShock only 95% (false examples).

    Crazy.

For the love of Satan, why must everything be compared to Half-Life 2 all the time? A game which is highly overrated in the first place...

...whereas Crysis looks fucking amazing and it would seem it plays it too. This is one of those games where graphics and technology become more important than gameplay. My question now is how the Hell is anyone going to top that? Not even Alan Wake is as complex and detailed!
