    I wonder what settings they used for the high ones

    The lowest one is ugly, looks like an unlighted Source level . Just hope I won't have to use that one. The extreme one I guess is just to impress people

    sweet jesus @ DX10 one, so many subtleties there that just pull the whole picture together. i love the rays of light going through the trees and the way the rocks really "pop", or maybe that's because they're actually models there?

    Aye, I think High DX9 is fine for me. I'm not using Vista on my work machine, and I'm not quite sure if I'm gonna bother getting a new computer for this.

    Oh and Low looks way worse than FarCry imo, lighting is unbelievably terrible.

    The small rocks/pebbles aren't models, it's a texture that makes use of the parallax mapping
