We're in the full swing of production on our FPS, Darkest of Days and we're looking to fill the last few spots on our team! On-site positions available as full-time or contract basis.

As a level designer, you will be responsible for:

...working with the director to plan level layouts and the gameplay pacing of each level

...creating and assembling a realistic and natural 3d world that is visually entertaining

...scripting and timing of level events, ultimately creating intriguing, fluid and dynamic gameplay experiences

A level designer applicant must have:

    ...strong problem-solving skills

...the ability to be a self-starter/motivator

...the focus and determination to set personal deadlines and meet monthly benchmarks

...the desire to collaborate with artists, programmers and animators to reach a common goal

...a solid understanding of first-person gameplay mechanics

...a good artistic eye for creating realistic and natural 3d environments

...above all else, a passion for many genres of games

Even better yet, the level designer would have:

...experience as a level designer (preferably on a FPS)

    ...programming and/or script writing experience

...traditional art skills (drawing, sketching, etc...)

...a working knowledge of 3d modeling packages (preferably Maya)

send resume and portfolio submissions to [email protected]

**Full-time employment at 8monkey Labs includes a competitive salary, comprehensive health coverage, and project bonuses. Relocation expenses can be negotiated.
