Finished the campaign yesterday. Pretty good stuff, there was definitely some of the last levels that rubbed me in the wrong way, but overall it had some really good stuff, definitely going to replay it in co-op.

Its kinda funny with the graphics, the outdoor areas generally look absolutely gorgeous (<3 their HDR) but the indoors are for the most part dreadfully fugly, especially the indoor lighting.

Oh and I really REALLY tried my best to follow the story closely this time around, but halfway through I reached a point where I had no idea why I was going to press some button at some place or do something and then I lost it. Good thing that the actual gameplay is good enough to not bog down the fact that they're horrible at telling stories (or maybe it just isn't that interesting a story to begin with )

I picked it up yesterday, started the campaign, discovered that all dialogues are localized to German, cringed and now I'm too scared to switch it back on.

Seriously, the localization is horrible, horrible. I recommend anyone to order an English copy, or is there some way to switch the audio?

Duuude, thats awful. English should always be an option in these localized games, but I'm guessing that its fairly common in Germany to only have the German stuff present.

Pretty much sums it all up for me.

There could be a good story in there somewhere but damn, they didn't communicate it very well. Oh well. Onto the multiplayer that shall consume all my time for the next little while.

Disc space is always a concern I bet they would include multiple languages if they could fit, but by the sound of it, there's enough audio on there as it is for just one language. Too bad though, I always prefer to hear movies in their original audio.

Sheesh Algor - I almost read that!! Doesn't the thread title already say "no spoilers"?!

Create a seperate thread including a "spoilers" tag please.

Yeah, I know how to read. What was wrong with what I said? It was pure gameplay, not scripted. It could happen, or not.

We played it for a bit at work, and people have been playing it at home. From what we've surmised this 100% BEST GAME MADE AND WILL EVER BE MADE is a little off the mark.

Where does everyone hear its the best game ever made and to ever be made from?

Halo 3 has/had a shit load of hype and it paid off from what the game earned.

I think its been a great looking and fun game to play, mainly co-op. So many extra features to get lost in and lots of re-playability. It deserves its high mark if not higher.

Oh yeah, haha I stayed away from reading them, just seen the ratings. They must be super fanboys I assume.

Those review scores are absolutely insane.

I haven't played Halo 3 and so am reserving my own judgement, but those scores can't be truly justified. They can't be!

my roommate got it the other day. One thing that puzzled me though, is it really possible to do 16 player coop singe player campaign?

Yeah I doubt it, but it does say 1-16 players when you join your friends before the game starts. There isnt any other co-op from what I say.

I bought it and its pretty cool the outdoor environments are really nice, but most indoor area's are looking like shit due the lighting. Multiplayer is cool to but I like cod4 more. If I was a reviewer I gave it a 8.

a major Norwegian newspaper (online ed) gave the game a 4/6 on the dice. (a score I completely agree with) The reviewer received a number of death threats from fan boys after that.

    lol people are lame
