Not a movie, but I've found Blame! to be quite inspiring.

D3ads: I know that Silent Hill is a series of games. The movie has very nice atmosphere. Also I already mentioned Underworld

I'd love a Blade Runner map. I tried it back in HL1, but never managed it. Someone did make one, but it didn't quite work. It's just such a strong film visually and would make an awesome, awesome map if done properly.

    If you're making something urban...

    The Corruptor

    The Godfather

Once Upon a Time in America (if you have four hours)

    The Road to Perdition

    Rounders

    The Matrix

Cliche I know, but Alien 1, 2 and especially 3 are just superb for me in terms of ideas. I just look at them and get millions of ideas in seconds.

If you're gonna say 3, may as well say 4.

I don't find #4 that inspirational in terms of looks to be honest.

On that note I add the Thin Red Line. Another long one though.

And one of the best ways I can think of to spend 3 hours and 21 minutes, Giant.
