Yep. No idea what 2k are smoking, it's almost as if they want to annoy people.

The piracy crap is pretty concerning, and further proves that the only people it hurts are the consumers. Unless pirates really can't crack it very easily (they almost certainly can).

As with music, if a pirate has decided they're going to pirate it, they will indeed pirate it. I don't agree with piracy as a general rule, but certain companies do almost force it on people at times.

2K seems to be making that mistake with BioShock. Hopefully it'll work fine when I do actually get it though as I've never experience problems with this stuff before.

Gah, all this copy protection bullshit is useless, people will always pirate the game no matter what, they're wasting their time!

Just played it solid for like 3 hours. Great game. Felt nothing like the demo though, but still great. My 6800 Gt is crying for mercy

Gah, the Limited Edition has been postponed until Friday next week, so I tried to find a store that would sell the Collectors Edition today. I think this is the first time I have failed to find someone that would sell a game before the official date, I felt so humiliated when I had to preorder it even though he had the game in his fucking hand. Even my usually impenetrable mind tricks with mentioning that I work at IO had no effect D:

    EB pricks :G

Oh well, at least I'll have it for the weekend...

Donno about there, but here people are fucking crazy about this game. In fact just when I was done talking to the cretin in EB and was on my way out, I heard the guy who had been standing in line behind me ask him about BioShock as well (and get rejected at getting it early rofl1ol)

Also my usual watering hole for getting games early had it sold out, didn't expect it to be this sought after tbh.

Installed the latest drivers for everything and updated my windows, and the damn thing still crashes. I can't even load a level now, and I've tried tweaking my settings to damn near every possible permutation. I am quite pissed. I would get a refund, but I bought it through steam and steam = no refunds (although I don't blame steam for that, I understand why they don't). Hopefully a patch will fix all these problems.

Securom and 2K Games just made my shit list.

the Big Daddy figurine is cool, my guy's arm broke so I have to get a new (thankfully 2k will fix it for free), but the soundtrack I wanted sucks. It is just some moby remixes and not actual game music.

I hope the tip of the drill being broken off on mine constitutes "broken" enough for a free replacement... I want the printed copy of that art book

Oh man, I forgot about the figurine.

No idea where I'll put it, but I can't say no to cheap merchandise. Better order.

Played a fair bit tonight...rather lost track of time actually Very very good game, I can see why it is garnering such acclaim. I thought from the demo that the gameplay wasn't as revolutionary as they'd have us believe, and I still don't think that it is, but the areas you explore in the full game are so much more open and exploitable than the one in the demo, so you have far more options. Atmospherically this game is pretty much in a league of its own, they've done a fantastic job of sucking me in.

It seems the copy protection on this game is super, theres no scene release yet which is kind of weird.

    I just cant afford 55$ on a game :/
