    Stop trolling around Rick.

I just don't think it's amazine - it has some nice elements; but does everyone just love HL1 maps now because they are retro - or has our friend Fergo done something really original that we haven't seen in the last 10 years? - it's essentially a box, with lighting that isn't all that special - surrounding buildings with different scales (look at the windows) - textures that repeat very obviously over quite bland brushwork; and hurg. Now whilst hurg might be a nifty addition I don't think he drags the levels quality up to amazine.

Already uploaded the map with the new skybox ;D

I've talked to Min0 and he's disposed to make some models for the map, so I can change some brushwork and hopefully get better r_speeds.

I'm not seeing what you guys are seeing. It's pretty poor, even for hl1, needs a lot of work.

Unfortunately, there's no way to put more work on this map. It's impossible to control the polygons on a map like this. It already beats 1800 w_polys, so any detail I add will have some serious cost to the performance.

yeah I know, because you have a huge open map, which this engine can't handle. Which is why it doesn't look good. Im probably sounding a lot like Rick now, but no matter how you turn it around it will eventually boil down a bad choices in map design^^
