Opinion: If Sony Releases a Wii-Like Controller...

Pretty much every console has a drought of titles upon launch, resulting in console dust -- it's the price early adopters pay. Surely we haven't all forgotten how everybody was lambasting the 360 for its huge lack of compelling titles during its earlier days?
That said, the Wii does seem to be experiencing a slightly longer drought than normal, which I suspect is a combination of a lot of publishers initially being quite sceptical about the whole Wii concept and the hardware not being up to scratch for 360/PS3 multi-platform releases without a lot of effort.
I think any serious gamer who doesn't prefer PC games will end up getting a 360 or PS3 simply for the greater game variety and visually rich experience. I know I will, and I do prefer PC games and have a Wii.

I don't think the drought is that bad, I've lived through the N64 and GameCube droughts

Well, I suppose it depends on your taste. I've personally not seen any compelling titles released for the Wii since the launch, and that was Twilight Princess which was more a GameCube game than not. The party/casual games wear thin way too quickly for me, and I'm sure a lot of Nintendo enthusiasts are slightly ashamed to admit they think the party/stuff is a bit shit too even though on paper they love the idea.
Granted, some excellent-looking titles are on their way such as Mario Galaxy, Smash Bros Brawl, and inevitably Mario Kart (the first-party games are mostly why I buy Nintendo consoles, much like one might buy a Mac
). The superb games that will come are almost guaranteed to make the purchase worthwhile, but as usual I'm feeling the grind as an early adopter.Even back on the N64 we had GoldenEye after a few months (I think) and various decent titles like Turok to pass the time with.

yeah, but don't worry, the drought will end, for every console soon, i hope. it really depends on your taste. i didn't like gears of war, so, there's not much stuff that really interests me on the 360. just viva piñata and the upcoming beautiful katamari

People weren't expecting the Wii to become so successful so now developers are realising that it's doing well and can rake in lotsa monies - Which is why there is a drought.

Off-Topic: My copy of RE4 Wii got dispatched last night but GUESS WHAT! The fucking Royal Mail decide to have a strike today which means I have to wait longer.

Sony is a wagon.
Every other developer is the horse pulling it.
Where ever they go, Sony follows.
PS: I wrote this on my Wii.

The Wii browser would be almighty if it had keyboard support.

It's fine for looking at forums and pr0n.
