Don't know if anybody uses this but if you do you should have said something already!
D/L, Install, Run, Press Alt+Spacebar and type in a few letters of your desired app and bingo.
Amazine

Sweet, a Katapult clone
Like the looks of it and I think this could be very usefull, if the user is willing to invest time in getting used to the program. My right arm is adjusted to start > menu. It'd take me at least a few days to intergrate Launchy into my brainstam. ![]()

Cool, I use this crazy thing called Windows - I am such a noob I know but when 95% of business use something it's pretty useful to use it too ![]()
Thanks for your concern I will pass it onto management.
While I am not allowed to say some things here, look in hall of fame for dissers, ricky.

lets say world of unix. mac os has this tool for a while too
call it spotlight

now you can flame me again sentura because i use OS's that support my workflow.
why would i flame you? it was you calling me retarded.. i just think you're funny ;D
Man, can you never have a thread like this without some zealots coming in and flaunting Linux and OS X? There are countless reasons to stick with Windows, gaming and the professional workplace being two of them.
Please don't go into threads like this throwing random "lol windows" comments around because most people are aware other operating systems exist (Amazing, I know!) but don't use them because it would be infeasible.
Thank you.
I have to say I agree. The worse part is that the same zealots will become volatilely defiant about their system if even questioned about its functionality or anything else (yes, I've heard you both on irc, Sindwiller and hessi).
You don't accomplish anything by saying it or by getting defensive about it. It's not like we care or want anything to do with linux/mac OS either how, and even if we did, chances are that what you said is just gonna put us further off.
Neato & using!

where did i say "lol windows" if windows was that shitty, i would not use it my self, wouldn't I? of course this is about a nice app. some people just mentioned that this is not that new / exclusive.

I pulled a sentura ![]()
read up hessi - withing the first 3 replies two of them were 'lol windows'
Sure, windows is the tool of the devil but if heaven is filled with linux users i'm happy to live with hot coals in my ass for eternity
Alright! Lets shift attention from the OS bashing to another interesting app
Autohotkey - http://www.autohotkey.com
It's a macro recording/play software. For example, say you boot your PC and want to start some 5 apps, shutdown some apps, log into some mail accounts, forums, etc etc.... You record those steps once, save the macro and you can play these back anytime you want by running the macro. It'll move your mouse and click around and do the exact same steps. Pretty useful IMO.
And hey, while we're at it, if you've ever looked at the task buttons on your taskbar and thought "Man, I wish I could drag and drop those into a new order", you're in luck. This tool lets you do that:

You can also hold ctrl to drag the icons next to the clock around. ![]()

And if you're the type of person who wants a program with a certain thing in its title to always open with specific dimensions and/or in a certain place on your desktop, this bastard is the key:

Excellent for people like me on 1920x1200 who use Photoshop in a window that seems to choose the dimensions it opens in at random. Or perhaps you just like to be a control freak and want to make sure your Photoshop palette is always the width of someone's browser window.
Hey, it's my job. ![]()
That was a very productive way to spend your 1000th post Thrik, good job ![]()
Anyone know a decent desktop post it/notes program for lol windows? I’ve tried a few and I usually get annoyed with obstructive skins.

A long time ago, in a search engine far, far away : http://www.tk8.com/easynote.asp
