    Looks good.

You should also have some oils pans on the floor for collecting...oil. As well as a few 55G oil drums and that stuff used to soak up oil in garages, like small gravel stuff. Perhaps a few oxyacetylene tanks for welding stuff.

Would add a nice touch I think.

yea, I think I will make drums right now actually, can't have a garage without oil drums

another small prop I just finished, and a very WIP shot of what the garage layout might look like with everything thrown in there.

There is still 3 or 4 more props I need to make, since the camera will be close in on the kart they will be close so I want them to look nice. Once I finish the props I will texture and do some simple details to the background of the garage and then light the whole thing. I am thinking it would be cool to have the garage door in the background rolled up and be able to see outside through that and the windows, would be a good light source too.

you could make a simple shelf and put parts from the random carts on it like extra mufflers and stuff just as a quick space filler. you might want to have the hose for the air gun going to the air compressor

i gotta admit, the colors play together quite nicely - really cool ! (referring to the garage shot)

so many new refpics to save

but plz give the barrel more polies than a single paint can. it looks so weird, with the air compressor and everything else in the scene is having massive polygons and the barrel looking totally edgy and stuff, just some more stacks - 16 or something

i mean even the air wrench is totally busted with polygon desnity.

i know, i know, i'm always nitpicking but especially with such round things i like it, when it's like that: smaller round objects with less stacks and bigger ones with more, and the barrel clearly is bigger then one of the cans, i'd say...still they both seem to have 12 stacks (?)

meh, meh, i'm so nitpicking, sry sry

lol, don't be so apologetic, sometimes the nitpicks are useful, sometimes they aren't but it is always good to hear them anyway. I think the barrels are going to be in the background, but I do have a higher res texture base texture still and it would be very easy to smooth it out if it looks funky where I put it in the final composition.

awesome, just consider that everything is kinda concentrated around the center, huddled around the car, the walls and ceiling are sort of bare. maybe you could put a winch type thing on the ceiling for pulling an engine and some posters on the wall to balance things out. i think you should put the compressor against a wall and put a couple of loops of hose on a hood on the wall and run the gun from there. the current placement doesnt make much sense

the actual view will be much closer, and it will pivot around the kart, leaving not much in view except immediately around the kart most of the time. That said I have not even started filling in details yet, (still WIP!) I spent yesterday building the walls and windows and stuff.

ok, I finally finished up most of the garage and got it into the engine - here is a screen shot. It's all a fully modeled little environment so that there is something to look at in all directions as you will be able to freely rotate and zoom in around your kart & character.

the helmet in the foreground loooks huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge

what about somehting like that for the tyres: http://www.rbcomponents.com/images/full ... -Combo.jpg

or in generall 2-3 tyre stacks, instead of them randomly placed

i'd like to see even more detail in the kart garage, like random components on the wall, or tools everywhere

    http://ccgi.sttech.force9.co.uk/newgfx/ ... ts%202.jpg

or a cabinet that fills up the place:

    http://www.dehaanracing.com/NewSite/Our ... /Shop1.jpg

like that in general to fill up the place:[Blocked Image: http://www.shopwareinc.net/images/carts_cart.jpg]

just think it looks a bit empty. you've filled the scene with all the nice props but i get the feeling it was a bit too randomly placed all around.

i think left, right and foreground could use a bit more prop love just under the aspect, that one can rotate and zoom the scene it think some more props would add to it. what you already have is awesome but i think there's room for a tad more
