    Best Terminator? 0

    1. The Terminator (0) 0%
    2. Terminator 2: Judgement Day (0) 0%
    3. Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines (0) 0%

Had a little debate with some friends about this recently, lots of people seem to favour the original, but I think the sequel is far far superior and one of my favourite films ever.

I've put the third one, but if anyone actually votes for that, they deserve to be hung from a clothes line and anally raped by kangaroos.

Third to me is just completely pointless, I mean they destroyed the Cyberdyne stuff and chucked the remains of the first 101 model into molten steel, thus rendering Skynet impossible to complete...

Third is crap but ok to watch if you don't pay any attention and just enjoy it for the action. Second is the fucking bomb, amazing film. First is really cool but surpassed by the sequel in every form.

T2 as it's one of my favourite movies, but yeah, don't mind T3.

I think some people respect Terminator 1 a lot for basically being one of the first movies in history to do what it did, which is totally respectable. However, I personally find Terminator 2 to be far more entertaining and just generally cool in every single way. A truly excellent film.

In all honesty though, both were superb.

T2 was awesome, but the first time you see T1 the whole thing just blows you away.

I was expecting the worst with T3, so it actually exceeded my expectations when i saw it...

I don't remember the first one really well, but the best was the second one. This guy who played as the bad liquid terminator was kinda frightening me when I was young. And when I saw him recently in The Unit, I felt exactly the same feeling.. strange.

And, like Izuno, I was expecting the worst for the third one, but it finally turned out to be rather pleasant. I really enjoyed its humor and its end, when you can clearly see a touch of "Back to the Future" (you simply just can't change the future by traveling in the past without consequences).

The first one scared the shit out of me when I first saw it. I'd say T1 was the better of the two when it came to the scare-factor but T2 was an all-round entertainer. Robert Patrick's icy demeanour and fast running put the shits up me, too. Plus, with his liquid metal weapons he was completely creepy. It had the machine learning to be human angle, some memorable lines and some good bits of humour, too.

T3 was... urgh. It was almost like watching a parody. It was like the people behind it were so scared of going up against the previous films' reputations that they just didn't try to do something comparable. Way too much in the way of humour and gimmicks. The 'Terminatrix' was one big gimmick with a load of crap lines -- do us a favour, love, Mr. Patrick already has the 'look scary and run fast' market cornered. The acting & characters were also hammy. John was a whiny little bitch and Katherine was a predictable nu-woman with bigger balls than John. It was just irritating to watch plus, as D3ads pointed out, they fucked up the entire plot, even if the final twist was unexpected. The action scenes were good (especially the crane chase), but that was about all I can say in its favour.
