Hey, cut the Shack a break, they've got some great guys working for them and Remo, who posted the article, is the best of those.

To be honest, I was just being a sarcy cock, I don't mean it. It's not good news reporting, but these guys aren't professional so it's to be expected. Mad props in general to to people who give up their spare time to run sites for the communnity.

I hate to break it to you but they do actually get paid for it over at Shacknews and as far as I'm aware it's an office thing they have going on, which by definition makes them professionals. The site is designed to cover everything loosely rather than a little bit in-depth though, so accuracy issues are to be expected and I don't think Shacknews deserve and flak for posting the article.

I think I gave justification in my past post for why exactly credit wasn't given. I sincerely doubt that the writers'd go out of their way to hide credit, and I doubt even more that Remo (Extremo) would.

I'm not talking about credit, as in 'why didn't they credit the forumgoer who figured that out'. I'm talking about sources/evidence. i.e. some kind of actual confirmation that what they say is at all true.

Nevermind... this thread isn't as fun as the old one.

This is still all still speculation until THQ/GSC, Valve or id comment on this (really it needs to be THQ and GSC). I know THQ is looking into it, but they obviously aren't communicating anything until they have something concrete to say. So I don't really consider this matter resolved, imo.
