So whats up with this? I have a virus scanner thats on real/live scan. It also scans each morning at 4 am. I have a firewall. I have runned a antispyware app. Whats happening in the clip is me going into the C drive. Hover over some folders just to show nothing happens. Xept i missed with the first and happened to click it so it moved. And when i get over the HiJackThis folder explorer restarts!? This clip only shows one time, but this happens all the time and only over that folder. So wth is up?

This sounds like the same problem you are having.
Quoteif you attempt to run hijackthis or CCleaner and other tools like GMER & Icesword, just moving the mouse over the programs icon will crash explorer and the same if you goto start > run and type the name plus typing the names into search engines will close the browser window instantly,

A trick my friend of mine who works in PC security uses is to always have two copies of hiijack this on his pc, but one is renamed to fred.exe
Its by no means a comprehensive way of getting around apps that will shutdown/crash hijack this but you'd be surprised how many it does fool
