gta4 soon

    I like where they're taking it. I was sort of hoping for basically a GTA3 for the next-gen consoles, that typical every-city instead of the theme heavy stuff found in Vice City and SA. Can't wait.

    Yeah, thats a pretty badass character, if you do in fact play him. No more of this stupid gangster and gangsta shit, GTA could use a change of style in that department. Seem pretty controversial that they're making the player an immigrant, given GTA's nature as a media attack magnet. Probably wont change anything though

    Also on a second viewing after sleeping I'm a bit more enthusiastic about it, I just want some info on the actual gameplay :G

    Oh yeah, try freeze framing it around the part where its at the time square'ish place (00:30), lots of the same 3 types of cars [/unfair nitpicking]

    I still think it's gonna be the East coast with a circle forming New York, Chicago and Washington with country sides in between, or something like that.

    Just having a big detailed Liberty City wouldn't be bad either, but I think it would still somehow feel like a step down after getting used to San Andreas' size

    I'm still waiting to get some info on what they're doing with the gameplay. If there's going to be jump in scale of things you can do like there was from Vice City to San Andreas, then I have no idea how huge it would be. I just know they haven't failed to deliver so far, so sadly I'm hyped up and expecting massive things

    did anyone else notice the huge emphasis on the day/night cycle? at least half of the video was fast paced showing the sun moving and the dynamic lighting. the other half started right into the sun with a big bloom effect.

    I'm a bit miffed that its in America again...but with it looking like were Russian maybe we will get to bounce around Moscow as well after being deported or something interesting

    Anyone know anymore info on the PS3 version?

    i love it. GTA is all about style and this trailer has a lot of it. texture res still sucks but theres not a lot they can do about it on a game with that kind of scale. but it seems they improved what they were able to with the lighting. love the shadows. they work perfectly for that kind of game.

    [edit] Actually it looks like New York.. but there's a shop in there called 'Liberty Tree' so I'm kinda confused.

    Knowing publishers id say they just cant make a game in another part of the world because "it would alienate the american players" according to your average publisher.

    Its prolly like SA again, it looks like NY or LA but it just has another name.

    GTA3 was set in Liberty City which was for all purposes New York, so they've just gone back there, which like I said was a cop out imho, somewhere new please!

    It looks fantastic and I really can't wait (they had better not do the SA thing and leave PC gamers waiting for months after the console-tards have the game).

    I agree with above comments that somewhere out of America would have been awesome, there's a whole world of squalid crime out there, America isn't the only totally fucked up place in the world, it's just got lots of opportunity for humour and piss-taking I guess.

    England would have been great, and another time zone PLEASE! The 70's would rock, also the 60's too - think of all the references and fucked up shit they could do, Vietnam was going on etc.

    I wonder if they'll have the WTC and we can fly some planes into it - honestly that'd be pretty funny <_<

    Someone in another forum had the idea that it could not just be New York (Liberty City). Like in San Andreas it could be a few more citys with countryside between them (Chicago, Detroit, Washington or Boston for example). Sounds logic to me.

    Heh, I STILL have yet to play through San Andreas nevermind GTA4 :roll:

    Does anyone think that Liberty/Vice City Stories will be released on the PC? I know it's more of the same but I love both areas
