I laughed so hard at those comparison screenshots, dear God...

Oh my god, no dynamic lighting????

My faith in humanity is shattered.

Seriously, that's the game. The hud they could have beefed up, sure, and I will go on a limb and say that the control setup screen is a bit ass, but the rest looks fine to me.... still better looking than some titles in the PC sector. Solid and consistent art direction will generally trump flashy features.

Wow, another franchise that UBI milk for what it's worth, just what I said in #Mapcore yesterday

    Are you being serious?

It doensn't look that great, but eh, gameplay > graphics. Although I wouldn't feel happy paying full money for that.

I really don't know what it is, bu this game looked better on my Gamecube than on PC

The controlscheme looks shitty too, however i do understand why they chose it, if you could use the mouse (and maybe strafe too) the game would be too fast and too easy. it worked quite well on gamecube and ps2 but i don't think it will work on pc...

The PC is a PS2 port whereas the GC version was a visual remake so its visually superior.

    lol worthy indeed.

    Notice to the Main-Coder:

Next time do not hardcode "mat_fullbright 1" into the default application ^^

IMO still one of the best looking games around (GC version that is), and its like 2 years old. It's a fucking disgrace what they did to that PC port :G

But it is one of the best games made, so I guess its okay to play the PC port if you're cheap enough not to buy a Wii or GC (PS2 port should be okay too I guess) :G

er, ok, I missed the comparison. The content is fine, but the new lighting is a bit of an artistic abortion.

There is no lighting. Absolutely tragic.

Um, the game isnt even out yet for PC. Those "comparison shots" are from a leaked beta that started appearing on torrent sites about three days ago. From what I hear, this leaked version does not support a mouse yet, just a keyboard.

Some loser release group got ahold of the leak, schlacked on a quick windows gui for control configuration, applied their own serial (which is pointless because their nfo gives you their applied serial) and faked it as the real deal.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I have not seen anywhere from anyplace official saying the game is released on PC nor have I seen the game on shelves. Wait before you criticize, because what you're seeing is a release groups childish attempt at getting street credit for a modified beta leak that they're passing of as the final build.

[edit]I did a little digging. Found out that this version seems to be the Japanese port of RE4 officially called Biohazard 4. BH4 apparently has been circulating the asian underground for the last 2 years and is just now making its way to EU and NA. Yeah, those threads have nothing to do with the Ubisoft produced Resident Evil 4 for PC.
