I happened to stumble over this page with a bunch of 3d apps. There is lots of them, some free, some pay for, some advanced and some simple, just thought i should share. IF you try out any of them on the page pls do post your result, and what you thought of it.

I started modelling with DeleD. I can recommend it for beginners who wanna do simple stuff. But it is not really suited for more complex stuff. Has a nice lightmapper. The devs are also thinking about implementing Ambient Occlusion into the lighting pass.
