The google maps part is real nice. Everything else I can do without. I don't need music on my phone. I don't like phones that are shaped like biscuits. When you're on your phone with the touchscreen, arent you in danger of hanging up the call with the side of your face? Do you always have to use it on speakerphone or earbuds? Speaker is obnoxious and earbuds.. no thanks. Look like a crazy person talking to yourself. It seems to me like they sacrificed some of the core "phone" functionality for everything else - although their address book browser is really handy. but honestly I have one, maybe two numbers for every person in my address book on my old Nokia 6000-something. It takes me no longer than 5 seconds to find any number I want.
Then again I don't really have a lot of numbers. I like the feature, but its not really neccesary for me, and how would it work without a touchscreen? to me a touchscreen is just asking for trouble. You reach in your pocket with your phone in it and accidentally brush past the little slider lock thing on the touchscreen, and now everything that rubs up against it is keeping it "awake". goodbye battery. Will the sensitivity of the touchscreen fade as it gets abused, scratched, etc?
basically, its a neat idea, all the features are pretty cool... But when I sit back and look at it, I can't help but thinking I'd be happier with just a phone. If I wanted an MP3 player, I'd get an mp3 player. The only feature that truly interests me is the Google maps feature.
