Oh and their recommendation was, "buy it", so well done ReNo et al!

    Hehe Polaris, most people can't

Thanks for the congratulations Defrag, we were pretty happy with the review. In fact all the reviews so far have been positive, which has made us happy indeed! Will be interesting to see what the more established games media thinks about it as all our reviews so far have been from smaller places. Should be reviews in next months PC Gamer and PC Zone to coincide with the retail release, so we're looking forward to those.

Oh and Consolevania fans rejoice - videoGaiden, their tiny little mainstream TV games show here in Scotland, is coming back for a second series. First series was just six 5 minute shows around midnight, but this series is six half-hour shows, and filmed in a studio! Madness. Hope such an "upgrade" doesn't ruin the style of the show, but its good to hear that the BBC are taking it a bit more seriously this time around.

Did you used to watch Vidz, ReNo? It was very much the same as Consolevania (a couple of lunatics chatting nonsense while reviewing stuff, but videos instead of games and with a raving lunatic welshman) back in the day

I have a colectors edition Steam acc, so I'll download it, and I'll post here what I though of this game as soon as I try it out

Collectors edition Steam account? Don't know what that is, but are you sure it allows you access to non-Valve games? I haven't heard anything about it before

As for Outerlight's next game? Well even I don't know that yet I imagine it will be a while before anything is announced on that front - for now we are finishing up the retail version of The Ship, and we will be supporting it post release for a while with new features, levels, costumes, etc...

For those waiting on reviews from the major sites, Gamespot and 1up have now reviewed the game. Gamespot gave it 83/100, while 1up gave it 6.5/10. Damn 1up dragging down our score average

I’ve spent more than enough time running around alien ships indiscriminately firing rocket launchers. Now I just want to put on a tuxedo, grab a golf club and enjoy a civilized, seafaring afternoon of murder in cold blood.

Yeah, not sure what kind of versions they have atm, but by the time I bough my HL2 there was 3 versions, standars, colector and gold edition.

The colector edition lets you play most of the games ever released on steam without need to pay for them, eg KungFu, darwinia, HL1, CS1.6, etc, etc, etc...

I had to pay for HL2 EP1 though

Also Im not sure if The Ship will be free on my steam acc, but I can't download it this month, I already crossed my ISP bandwith traffic!

hmm stil sounds weird, you might have acces to the kunfo and darwinia demo's and the HL1 back catalog but it would rather sound like some kind of bug if you have acces to non Valve games, let alone other developers games that were not realsed yet when you bought it?

Yes, the collector's edition included HL2, CS: Source etc. but it doesnt let you play all future Valve games. You have to buy them. Also there are demos for Ragdoll KungFu and Darwina for free. You won't get The Ship free, you have to buy it just like every other new game released on Steam.

When you bought collector's edition, it doesn't mean that you get ALL stuff free including future Valve stuff, just the stuff that was out at that point.
