UPDATE test server located @ 12.221.107.225:27016

I made a version of pacman for CS:S. I did all the textures and brushwork from scratch. It's my first release. It's clean, polished and simple. I really liked the original maps by Adam Hawkins (flf_pacman,flf_mspacman,flf_pacmanjr) http://%7boption%7d and B4K73R1U5/Murd3rd0ll (cs_pacman) http://%7boption%7d, so I made what I think is a decent remake. Build time was very short. Not more then few nights of work.

Two different versions of the map are included geek_pacman & geek_mspacman. Tell me what you guys think. My next work will be something a bit more original.

i have seen so many remakes of this but this has got to be the nicest one i have seen so far. i love it how your edges that are leaving the world fade out. do they also teleport you to the other side?

    Hehe, nice one

Make Mario maps, as a singleplayer. You could only move forward or back and you could collect mushrooms and stuff

    Great stuff.

cs_pacman was a very popular map on our 1.6 servers, it will be nice to finally add a good version of the map to the source ones.

With clip brushes, could work – would require custom “enemy” models though...

so you never wanted to do that arcade idea where you look out and see a person?

That would have been awesome, but it also would have boosted the file size. I tried to keep it under 5 megs. My theory is that fun maps need to be a quick download, otherwise people will just move onto another server instead of waiting.

I just got a server with fast HTTP and bzip2 going for both maps. If you feel like playing or looking at the map please join!
