Farcry was one of the most awesome gaming experiences in my short life. Just walking around the amazing islands was great

    You are easily amused

Where are the games like, System Shock 2, Paradroid, Elite, Bioforge of our time?

Looking Glass are working on Bioshock, but not much has been revealed...

We NEED Shock3, I would jizz my pants if I got to play that

I haven't played Far Cry before, I was put off by the plastic models and overly colourful green terrain...

EA is fucking up the licence.. I mean EA is making a sequel to Systie, but everyone knows that BioShock is the spiritual sequel for the Systie, it actually has people working on it that worked on the original Systie, the EA game is just a cash in.

2nd hour: "YAY! i can choose between to paths! its non-linear! *walk one path through a cave and come out on someplace else on the mountain* "woops, turns out im about 200 feet from the place i entered the cave, it doesnt matter what path i choose! HOORAY! (irony) Wink

well you had the choice, it still feels free, and the illusion of something non-linear is still as good as the real thing.

I'm sure they will take this to the next level in the sequel though, far cry was cool, but it has way more potential than what has been showed.

My computer would explode if I ran this game. First, my video card would melt, then my ram would burst into flames - and finally my CPU would implode and take the entire universe in with it. So Yeah, I don;t think I'll play until I get that $6000 gaming rig I've always wanted... yeah right.

A bunch of new concept art is available for example at

    http://www.totalcry.com/

There is also another nice fan site up with a collection of all released media so far

    http://www.crysis-online.com

Expect some more new screenshots soon...

Thanks for pointing out the 2nd site, Frie. By the way, who is your matte painter? Also, how many people work at Crytek?

Magnus Larbrant is the concept artist who is reponsible for most of the environmental paintings (for FarCry and now for Crysis), he continues to amaze me on a daily basis

Last number I heard was 110 employees.
