New site for me as well!! :D

The header image is an improvement, but making it narrower to fit the rest of the box, just made your site too restricting. Give my eyes some space, the earlier way was better, the top was a contrast to the bottom, but the bottom had some boundaries, but still the header gave alot of freedom. Now you just sqeezed a small site in to a small space.

The site doesn't have alot of content, so making it in to a small box like that, breaks it. The colors are monotonous, no contrast at all.

Aside from the header graphic, I don't like the new direction one bit.

Your new site design is great as usaul. Your site designs have always been very pleasent to look at and navigate. The header is 10 times better than the gradient you had before.
