I didn't know where to post this so move it if you think you need to.

I've just been extensively looking through all my old posts (including the ones on my old account) looking for an old thread but I can't find it at all, so I'm having to make a new thread.

Basically ages back, someone posted a screenshot of a HL1 map that uses ported Doom 3 textures, I can't remember for the life of me who it was, so if you remember what I'm talking about, then reply please, I want those textures!

    Thanks.

ps: I've realised from old posts that my attitude is less aggressive than it used to be, so from now on I'm going to correct that.. so.. uhh you all have shit musical taste and suck a fat one... ok?

i once tried making an iceworld clone that looked exactly like doom3 but on the hl1 engine... dunno if its that what you mean but i lost everything i made for that. dont even know where the screen is anymore

Oh yeah I remember that That's not what I wanted though, it was someone who'd actually done some nifty things to combine all the different texture layers to make the D3 textures look decent in an engine without bump-mapping capabilities. I bet they don't even remember themselves

the irony of this is insane, i just posted in a different thread recommending the doom textures i ported to a different map, i havent looked at them in like a year and a half and all of a sudden theres an interest. Anyway i posted a screen in the wip get in touch and ill send you the wad.

Also, they arent direct ports obviously, because the textures are just coloured squares without the normal maps, so i rendered them all before copying as best i could to get an overall average lighting, some of them were designed to be lit top-down for this reason.

i put the screen in here
