I didnt mean people who donate money are hypocrites, but I hate those people who don't give a fuck to anyone and then donate money to shit like this just to feel better.
Who gave money to Pakistan?
-
-
What do you think the pakis rather have, someone that doesnt care and helps them, or someone that cares and doesnt do anything

-
im not gonna donate because the pakistanis were dicks to Gandhi by destroying his united india with their made-up religion. And this "natural disaster" is actually the wrath of gandhi
-
This is the funniest convo i have ever read on mapcore so far

-
I have no grudge against Pakistanis, but just because this is a new zone where people live in discomfort I just can't give a shit right now, there are people living in that kind of conditions all the time, Pakistan got hit with a earthquake and now their economical infrastructure has gone to shit, well guess what, tuff luck, there are areas in africa that would have appreciated your help BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE ANYTHING!
So Pakistanis can go to hell and die for now, maybe there is some time later to help those who like to live in a third world style in most parts of the country, and still have expensive nuclear weapons program. Yes, I would totally like to help them very much.
(disclaimer. this is an opinion and opinion only, it's not a fact, opinions may be discussed and debated but they may not be changed)

Almost every single good deed is a selfish one. Just think about it.

So what your saying Kosmo, you arent donating because of africa. Can you explain it a little bit more
-
I'm not changing my donation target just because some might right now need it. They might have a bad situation right now, but some countries actually have bad situation always.
It's like if a volcano erupted in like sweden, people who haven't given a flying fuck about anything before, donate to them just because they had a hard time right at that moment, and it pisses me off. You actually have to constantly remind people that there are some unfortunate people out there, and some natural disaster is just that kind of reminder, but when you don't hear from some place in a while, people just stop caring/transfer their donations elsewhere.
If you really care about Pakistanis, it's great, people are people and this kind of stuff shouldn't happen to anyone. But think about it when you stop your "generous charity" that there actually still are people who might not have had a disaster, but still need your help but you don't do nothing about it because the last earthquake didn't hit their location.
-
If i see someone on the street collecting donations for some kind of relief, i usually dig deep and give whatever small cash i have, but i usually dont go out of my way.
-
Please move out of Pakistan if you can´t take a little earthquake now and then. I´m not giving my money for some pakistani guy so he can buy an ak-47 with it.
but seriously Im low on cash, don´t shoot me for not giving any money.
(probably not as low as those pakistani´s but Im a selfish and greedy man with some great stereotypes of people)

He is obviously holding an IED behind that child (probably bought with your money)
-
you are plain dumb.
when you give money, you don't give them to private persons, you give em to a humantarian organisation, who provides them with food, shelter and the stuff that you think is common for yourself and everyone else.

Why dont you just say you dont have enough money to give to both Africa and Pakistan.
Your whole story about ppl stopping donations if they dont hear enough from someplace just dont make sense. Its funny that basically all excuses so far are ppl complaining that others are hypocrits (but they donate), or others are stupid if they stop donating (but they donate), but its you that doesnt donate at all. Seriously how can you not see your own mind being fooled.
What do all these other ppl have to do with you donating? They are no excuse, they probably only exist in your mind. And what fictional african tribe has it worse than the victims of this quake?
-
Stolve is right, organizations like Red Cross have learned their lesson from the scandal back in the 80s where charitable organizations gave their money to the goverment of some african country and the dictator that was the head of the goverment used it for his own purposes and funded the military with it.
So I don't think that there is no way your money can be used to buy a recoilless rifle or ak-47 today if you make your donation through a known organization.
-
I donate money monthly to Artsen zonder Grenzen (uh, Doctors without Borders?). I think the whole 'you have to give money to be a good human being' thing is terrible and even worse, since the tsunami it became pure kitsch. Just responding to emergencies once in a while isn't enough really.
-
Youre contradicting yourself there Daano  Besides that, like Grayfox said, every single good deed is a selfish one. If you save a drowning person, it relieves guilt. If donating didnt, they would be psychopaths and no money would ever be raised.
As for it being kitsch, i like that, its the way it works best. Its not an oprah show you watch to feel jolly

wow kosmo, your opinion sucks ;o

Can you be more specific about WHAT about it sucked and WHY do you think it like that, you know, try to articulate and not just post empty opinions and remarks. If you are unable to do so, you shouldn't post at all.
