I'm not really too bothered much about Aftermath. Doesn't catch my attention, looks to me like a few more maps with nothing new to offer really. Im really bored of the enemies, characters and weapons. ![]()

I dont know If I'm going to get it. Doesnt look to exciting for me.
I wonder whats Valve is up to?
This expansion is the same as hl2.. looks boring!
Opposing Force was one of my favourite expansions for years ago, i even played the demo everyday before school.

Yeah, and nobody else releases expansion packs for their games that are essentially more of the same, do they? Difference is, HL2 was actually very widely praised, and so it's no surprise valve think people want it.
Don't get me wrong here, I'm not excited about aftermath whatsoever. It just seems that everybody is jumping on the valve condemnation bandwagon these days, and taking any opportunity to slate them.

I'll buy Aftermath. I trust Valve to make genuinely good products and to improve upon solid foundations. I just mean I'm not holding my breath, because quality takes time.

I thought Aftermath was a free expansion

Recent example of a good expansion that's more of the same would be Doom 3's Resurrection Of Evil, I enjoyed it a lot more than the original game because they'd listened to what people hated/loved about D3 and worked with that. Not the best example perhaps, but it's one that comes to mind these days.
I'll gladly pay for Aftermath so long as it's below £20...

I can't wait for Aftermath...
Fletch for President.

i dont get the big guff about it being lame. Ive played everything valve has released since hl1 and i think their games are great. they're going to have some new enemies, more character development, and better graphics, its not much, but it sounds nice to me.
