So when you get it, post lots of nice screenshots and opinions here for everyone to enjoy!

Note for those who hadn't worked it out yet: QIV is D3's most wanted game for a long time.

Id's working on a new franchise as we speak. Wish granted. As for quake 4, preordered my copy, picking it up tomorrow. Just sucks that I have a calculus test the next day...

It's gotten high scores as well. The reviewers have brought up that it's basically Quake2 in a new engine (ie. very straightforward gameplay), which for them is a bad thing for some reason.

Edit: Holy crap you're up early Skjalg :E

well I really enjoyed the quake2 gameplay. I'm not looking for the biggest epic story. People need to realize there are a large spectrum of games and that just because one doesn't have a huge story/narrative doesn't mean its not good.

Agreed. Quake2 was a fun game, and if Q4 manages to live up to it, I'll be a happy camper.

I disagree. Yeah, games don't have to have great stories, but after playing through a few levels, I concluded that Quake 2 was pretty damn boring even when judged solely on gameplay. Fortunately, my opinion doesn't count for much!

Just reading a few opinions from people who have it, Quake IV multiplayer more than lives upto it's merits, like Quake III with even bigger bells.

In terms of QII, I played it after I'd played Half-Life, but I still managed to love every minute of it despite being left in the shadow of the former title. It's a pity they destroyed the big gun actually, that would of looked hella cool in QIV

Anyone know if there's a way to buy the special-edition without the old Quake games? I want the QIV extras!

This game looks worth learning D3Radiant for (or will it be Q4Radiant or something?).

Did anyone pick up their copy today? I'm still debating it, because I want both FEAR and Quake4 . Today is very expensive day for gamers. hehe

Just wait for GTKRadiant support. It's really not that different to the way Hammer works.
