Don't be silly. Reusing components is fine as long as you check that they're actually compatible first (AMD CPU in a Pentium mainboard? Ho, ho!).

i think buying a new computer right now is pretty stupid. looking at the hardware thats coming up within a year or so. its better to first upgrade if possible and buy a new system when we get that major speed jump....
