    Map name - de_Tildza Map link - on Steam Workshop

    Game mode - Bomb defusal

    Idea - Create a level in Source 2 that is inspired from a real-life location. As cities are advancing the landscape of it is changing as well. I lived close to the location I chose for the map. It is an odd building. One would say a private residence. Another could point it out as a never-opened restaurant or hotel. When I first put my eyes on it, it was in a rough shape. At one point construction workers started to appear. They started to revive the building itself. The backyard of it as well. But again, at a point, when the roof was fixed, windows changed and doors shut. They left. And since then, I have not seen any real use of the property. It is connected in a weird way with a car washing building next to it. Well, not car wash anymore. Since time passed by it went bankrupt. A car parts shop opened in that place and have stayed there since. I personally think this building will be demolished and something else will be made there. That or a park. The map name? Well, since I have a connection with this place in real life, I dedicated it to a deceased friend of mine. Even though we lost contact for personal reasons, memories still go on. We both grew up in this place. So I give this map the same nickname I gave him back in the day. Tildza. Map building process -

    Hey there MrTrane I took a look at your map and played a few rounds vs bots. Here are some of my main takeaways for you to consider: CT and T spawn feel very close to each other. When I was playing on T side all the bots would regularly rush towards the fence and start combat within 5 seconds of the round starting. Buy zones were pretty tight and on T side I would regularly spawn outside of the buy zone. Plantable areas also felt pretty cramped at least on A site. The A site space felt pretty good though in size and options I like the mechanic shop theme there quite a bit. B site felt a bit unfairly close to T spawn. While playing as a T I could get to the bomb site in a few seconds and before the CTs. The middle area felt a bit empty and the map overall felt a bit small but the space mostly seems well utilized and dynamic enough for interesting engagements. Hope this feedback is useful for you and good luck with the map.

    @AstriK Thanks for the heads up! And trying out the map. I have made a few changes and improved the radar for playtests. Hopefully improved. T Side now has been moved but, about spawning outside the buyzone. Interesting because the primary 5 spawn points are placed within the buy zone. I will try to adjust it too! The middle and bombsites will change. I think of placing CTs in the middle. And T's even farther somewhere. You will be able to try the improved map today!

    I've been putting some more work on the map. While working on it I figured, why not ask help from the community? On-the-spot naming of the map. While floating around the map and fixing a few things. @Olaftw Given feedback helped a lot! Thanks! I started to wonder how to name each place. Which calling would suit the best for each place? What each place could be called? Thoughts?

    15.06.2024 Update

    More work has been put inside the map!

    • - Moved CT spawn to middle of the map.
    • - Moved T spawn to the side of the map.
    • - Worked on Radgen mini-map (Radar)
    • - Added more light_omni2 to the map.
    • - Added more material on top of faces.
    • - Worked with prop_static
    • - Worked on B bomb plant.
    • - Added more cover to the map. (RadGen mini-map)
    • - Added one easter egg.
    • - Adjusted the clipping of the map.

    I am looking forward to hearing your feedback. The update should be live any second now. About the plants, spawn points, and radar. Anything will come in handy!

    Sorry, Waki I could not fit in the pillar inspiration idea. The pillar had to go. More changes will also follow. The B plant will see an update in the future, a bigger one! I wanted to imply a pillar idea. I took inspiration from Military Conflict Vietnam map - Remastered U.S. Embassy. The pillar in my opinion could be used for amazing layout ideas! Well. Just not in this case. I will try to fix the ''clutter'' problem I have around the map. Feedback has been heard! Thank you!

    I want to put in work in the project as much, as possible. Another update is here. Currently under review by Steam. Be sure to check out the map once they approve it! 16.06.2024 Update

    • - Added roof to car repair shop building.
    • - Added another easter egg to the map. Go hunt!
    • - Worked on the RadGen radar.
    • - Cliped the map.
    • - Worked to fix lighting issues and cube map issues of the map.
    • - Added func_breakable and highlighted it.
    • - Worked on the details of the map.
    • - Removed the clutter around A bomb plant.

    After multiple complains about this part of the map. Finnaly this building has a roof. Well, I always planned to add it. But to answer you all. It has been added in this update. I will work on the light inside of it, next!

    I am thinking about adding plywood like this on top of the pillars in the B bomb plant building. In my version of the location, this building has it's third/fourth story being constructed. And these plywood planks, are the result of the floor being prepared to be made. Thoughts? @JCK-1

    Small 17.06.2024 Update. (The update should be live any second now!)

    • - Added vent system for the car repair building.[/b]
    • - Worked with light_omni2 and light_barn in the A plant building.[/b]
    • - Worked with light_omni2 and light_barn in the B plant building. ( Minimal )[/b]
    • - Changed the overall brightness. (light_environment)[/b]
    • - Added material on faces.[/b] More updates will follow. I will try to fix the lighting problems I have with the map. If you have any suggestions or feedback on it. I am all ears!

    Spoiler I tried two version of blended material for the floor. Both seem to contain water. Whats your advice on this kind of blend used for floors?

    • - Worked more on the clipping of the map.
    • - Worked more on the RadGen mini-map. ( Radar )
    • - Worked more on the lighting of the map. ( light_omni2 )
    • - Added more cover possibilities.
    • - Added teamwork places to the map.
    • - Added temporary 3D skybox for the middle of the map.
    • - Added logo on the map as graffiti.
    • - Added a few more materials on faces. Update should be live anytime now!

    I will add a fence, some private residences and a street with small parking in this side of the map for the 3D skybox. This temporary mesh work will change!

    Tried to fix and imply more things on the map. The biggest one out of them could be the removal of the car mechanic building. Should I keep it like that and add it to 3D skybox?

    Since the #1 playtest of the map it has seen some changes. The feedback and gameplay I've received helped me to change the layout of the A bomb site. As well to make some important changes to the map. The removal of the car repair shop. @Dredile Thanks once again for the support and feedback!

    Made a few changes to the map.

    • - Remove the vent prop in the car repair building.
    • - Changed and moved T Spawn. ( Currently is not clipped )
    • - Added boost to side roof for CT spawn

    de_Tildza has seen a small update. The bomb-site building B. The interior and the roof. More changes will follow. But daily life is getting increasingly busier with each summer day. I can put a certain amount of work on the map. I will try to finish the map for the best playable result. Fixing everything. Delivering the best possible version.
