    I didn't remember that it looked that good.

    If that architecture was build on Source, it wouldn't look much better now.

    It still looks better then alot of retail games coming out right now in 2005, half of them still can't handle shiny floors lol.

    Yea, true. The Unreal engine truly was amazing back then, still, that game sports better graphics, as you said, than some newer games. And, for a source version, I've made a old HL version when I was learning making Half-Life levels (I remember how the Unreal textures looked bad In HL compared to Unreal, and that I couldent implant Fog and moving skies), but to be honest, I think the Q3E or D3E fits that style better, you can do more with shaders and graphical effects in those engines, somehow, I feel that Source is a bit limited when it comes down to Unreal-ish kinda design...

    Sid Meier i guess, since the civ series are awesome.. but pirates suck, especially the new pirates... (just repetitive)

    and last, but not least Funcom (its norwegian, what more reason do i need, (THEY ARE MAKING THE CONAN GAME FOR CROMS SAKE)

    Ive probably forgotten some, but as long as ive mentioned blizzard i guess its okay...

    Oh and, Funcom isnt that bad guys

    Settlers 1 aka. Serf City and Settlers 2 rocked so much! I still have both of them somewhere here in the boxes.

    (out of respect because they managed to be the 1st release of the nextgen games and it was solid as well)

    (They bribed me with free T-shirt, cap and tin cup, haha not really I just know some people and I like DAOC and probebly Warhammer Online :-P)

    (I don't actually own a GPG game yet but I'm a TA fan and now Supreme Commander, and I heard good things from Dungeon siege, modding wise)

    Indeed, however after Microsoft bought them and all the old guys left then the quality has been rather low to say the least.

    But they have made some of the best games ever~

    Rare was fucked when it was sold to MS, most of it's licences went to Nintendo and I don't even think that they got any money from them.

    And all I hear is that Rare is nothing but a name anymore, all the original developers have gone away and only thing that remains is few trademark characters like PD and Conker.

    But that said, I'm pretty confident that those two were the ones MS wanted, them being more "mature" and all.

    There was a FunCom seminar at my school where this guy from funcom just talked about how they make games and showed alot of videos from the making of the longest journey and conan... They showed alot of exclusives too, things that has only been shown once or twice somewhere else, like videos where all they show is some in game cimmerian mountains, or just a 1 minute ingame video of some horses (with riders:P) riding formation..

    and ofcourse that e3 movie, i think he showed that 3 times;)

    Edit, and oh yeah, it looked really good ;D

    I think the Conan MMORPG could be cool, I like the world it is based on, and the stuff I have seen, makes it look pretty nice and it is bit different from your typical fantasy MMOG.

    But we have to wait and see, I was pretty disapointed to the Anarchy Online when I tried it.
