these are like my 7th and 8th model i have ever made. Im starting to get better. I just need to be able to make them faster. the tv took me like 6 hours becuase in my mind all i knew was i wanted a tv i didn't know what kind or anyting , so when i started modeling it i only had a refrence pic of the front so i had do design the rest while modeling. the vcr was the same, i didn't even remember to uv the back until i was done with the model .................. so needless to say that model is only going to be showed from the front in any of my maps

I think your bevels and extrusions into it are waaaaay too extreme. Its okay for the opening for tapes n stuff, but for side panels for plugs it looks kinda stupid. Make them go in less Id say.

Apart from that it looks pretty good

try not to render your images with a stroke around the file. Makes it hard on my eyes to actualy guage some of the things.

Can you post the texture flats and the wireframe/polycount?

I agree with mazzle, otherwise very solid content. Nice job

yeah i agree with mazy said, look at some tv's, even security monitors like you are saying, the screens don't go in that deep - so i'd make them not as sunk in as well.

oh yeah i did that on purpose so i can fit in a dev tv monitor. its a security monitor for one of my maps and you will be able to monitor everyones where abouts. even tho the monitor indention might seem pretty big it in reality is a very small prop. and even a 1 unit depth brush almost deosn't fit in it right.

Nice scene except for the text/font on the tapes, who would write the simple "Security Monitor Tape" with Comic Sans when there whould be 20 new tapes each day.

    bwaha

Do the barcode thingy and I'm pretty sure you can save up alot of polies on the VCR, minibevels and the straight edges have excess polies.

the only thing i have to say about the setup in that room is the way the book cases are setup,

don't you think it's a bit odd to have them facing the back of the bookcase? if you are trying to make a type of enclosure around them, I'd maybe try verticle bars, not an X

but yeah, change those tape names

the size of the tape-bay looks like it's meant for VHS tapes but it says DVD on it?

yeah that was brought to my attention before. like all of my models i make them right before i go to be ... this is usually a range from 2am to 5am . I am usually very tired and don't notice simple thigns like that until the next day but i will fix.

also on the note of the x shaped bars. Now that you have mentioned it i do notice that but , that is a cs prop that im using. I think i might have it facing the wrong way. I shall check when i get my editor up and running
