Of course, I can't forget about the impact of Half-Life 1.

Honestly, in some shape or form, I've played it at least once every month for the past 7 years.

It's a sobering thought, testament to just how much it gives, primarily thanks to the mod community.

I guess Fallout 2 is the only game that have taken up some serious time, creating new characters is so damn fun.

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 and 4 have taken alot o time on the PS2, aswell as SSX and SSX Tricky..

Hammereditor, minesweeper, and umm... lol jk

I've died playing bf2. Honestly my gaming repetoir is realy lacking. My brother bought an xbox so I've been trying to play as many console games as I possibly can in my vacation. Went through co-op halo2 with my brother and now I'm playing BiA, I wish that had a co-op =( I tried to get into grand theft auto but I've never been a fan of 3rd person so I didn't like that much. My brother goes crazy over it though. Last PC games I played was FarCry which was pretty good, but I didn't get "lost" in it. I had to strap myself to the chair to get anywhere in doom3 because it can't hold my attention. Unreal 2004 was also fun until I hit my brick wall and can't get past this certain point in the ladder single player. Hoestly though my hours in hammer, unrealed, max, and photoshop far exeed my gaming time =( which is a sad thing because I need to know games to build games.

I've played Vampires - Bloodlines recently. The haunted hotel level scared the shit out of me - maybe the best horror part in a game ever!

Very cool game, too bad Troika doesn't exist anymore.

uuh by the way, wasn't there a guy at mapcore who used to work on Vampires?

hehe forgot about Goldeneye, Halo 1 & 2, Devil May Cry, I have so many that consumed my time. hehe

FrieChamp: yeah, the WOW 14 day trial was tasting the crack. hehe. While it was very addicting playing the Hunter, and my bear name GentleBen, it definately would be a game I'd buy if I had lots of time to spare. If i could trade in BF2 (sorry all, I hate the no accuracy of the weapons) I would probably buy WoW and play it now and then. hehe.

von*ferret: There's always room for gaming . I too work crazy hours, but I always find time for gaming

    Keep the games stories coming

I just tried this morrowind game for xbox and was really dissapointed. Too much "go here, than go here, without a map of course." I can't keep a repetoire of 50 names in my head on my so called "quests." Some people like these games, I just can't get into it. Back to BiA.

Hehe, I picked up Morrowind when my friend who used to work at Bethsoft, said "You want a job at Bethsoft as level artist, learn the editor quick!"

I think I played it for 10 mins before I got bored, the first town was terrible. Editor was confusing as hell too! I always seem to go back to the unreal editor

its not a game where you can dive right into it and start doing shit, you gotta approach it slow, give it an hour or two, read the directions people give you carefully, go out and explore and stuff.

    1) Hammer Editor

    2) Half-Life

    3) Day of Defeat (I still play it after all these years)

    4) Kings Quest and Quest for Glory games. Old School Sierra ownage!

    5) Mercenaries (on Xbox) Yes that's right. I said Mercenaries. Hands down it is my console game of the year for 2005.

    6) SSX 3

That was my first impression too, minus thinking it looked terrible. I quit playing after an hour or two and never played until about 6 months later then I was addicted like crack. I had scoured the whole game and stored all my weapons and armor and things in a house that was so full it killed my computer with the amount of polygons / shader effects going on. The expansions are equally as good.

As Insane said, it's not a game you can really jump into, there's lots of reading and stuff you have to do to get places which makes it really awesome at times.

    wtfbias!

Err, wait, that was under lucasarts, wasn't it? I can never remember what Pandemic's relationship is between LA and THQ... bleh. I know DAH was THQ.

I need to get me that game, the Mercenaries. Yet I'm behind enough as-is

Operation Flashpoint I'd play about 12 hours a day during holidays. Sometimes up to 18 hours. I really did get lost in it.

I loved Operation Flashpoint. Spent most of my freshman year in high school playing it. The missions were so fun, and the level editor was sweet.

We will miss you when you are gone, since that will surely happen, I just got rid of my addictive 3 month 24/7 cycle of WoW, and I still get cold sweat when I see the WoW icon on my desktop.
