I think the map looks rather impressive, it does have a rather real world feel.

The only things that seems to bother me is the fact that the cliffs seem rather low poly and unrealistic. At times it feels like what old maps in Half-Life 1 used to do, make like a wall box effect around maps. Kinda like DaanO said.

Keep it up, it's coming on great.

The boundaries of the level look unnatural, the rocks look too even and similar everywhere, try to create more height and shape variations or if you ask me, get rid of them in some parts and replace them with house walls, fences or something else which serves the same purpose but looks better.

Also the position of the antenna looks odd, I think you would rather try to mount it on top of a building if it isn't too big than in the yard of a house surrounded by cliffs.

Other than that great job nexus, keep it up

    Quote from Oski

    I love the warm colours.

The handicap parking lot is placed furthest away from the exit when its supposed to be nearest.

Keep it up. Are you going to playtest it soon?

Yea the colours is getting better and better i hopes i can try to get the Desert Theme.

Lol i didn't even notice about the handicap parking lot! I was just placing some

decals for decorations. Thanks i'm going to fix the problem!

Well the map is not done yet. When it's done, It's done.! So you gonna outplay the map how much you want.

Lenghtways the map is very large and open so i'm planning some places to hide from the enemyes. I hopes my map doesn't look to much like a cloudland!

Map looks good enough, but I dont really get a hold of the setting.. What kind of complex is this? Office or some sort of factory? You should go for one or the other. There is lots of nice flowers and trees even a bench to relax on, very office like, but over there lies a barrel with radioactive stuff and there is another with some biohazard shit in it, very "secret factory" like heh.

    You see what i mean?

Good stuff! This has the makings of an interesting, and instantly recognisable map. I really like the lighting, the contrast in shadows, the real world feel, and where the theme is going. Hopefully you will give it the time it deserves.

    Some constructive criticism.

For me, the two focal points of the outside are the rocks that run around the level, and the raised building at the back. Because of this, they should have as much impact as possible. At the moment, the rocks look a little too smooth. So much more would be added to the map if they had a really jagged more “rock like” appearance. I also think that by putting in another layer of rock above and behind the existing stuff in certain parts would make the skyline more interesting, and give the area a more believable look.

As for the main building, I think it would be a missed opportunity if it never had that “stand out” look to it. It already looks good, but it might need a bit more spice. It can be seen in many areas of the map, so I think it would be beneficial to make it look as interesting as you possibly can.

The ground also looks as though it runs along the one plane. I can’t see any slopes or steps in any of the images. Adding some will make the map in general, look a lot more interesting. Also might be worth adding subtle displacements to the floor, especially in the car park.

Telephone wires need to go somewhere, at the moment they only meet each other.

Not really too sure about the curb that changes from red, to white, and then back to red again.

The arched tunnel looks as though it could do with being more curved. Maybe use the arch tool to add more polys, and create the tunnel.

Level could also benefit from adding a few curved or angled corners to the buildings.

Otherwise, map shows loads of promise.

my harddrive crashed - and it blocked the motherboard to work.

Windows is gone because the harddrive is broken, i had to call a master and had a talk about 1 hour it didn't help so much to repair my Pc.

I have no support to the store i bought my computer from and my pc is almost 3 years old. I don't know what to do.. This is a problem i know that sucks.

Well the map is gone too..

    Sorry and respectfully / Nexus

Ouch, a sad tale Best of luck getting your comp back up and running. I'd also like to add that going by your rate of improvement, the next map you start will probably be even better than the one you just lost. I'm sure I'm not the only one who can relate to losing a map - I had a hard drive burn out on me while I was making what I deemed to be my best mapping effort several years back, but once I got to computer back online and restarted the level it turned out to be a far better in the end.
