Its still very WIP, but it is starting to come together so I thought I'd pimp it a bit. Expect some more pics in the coming days.

And Im not gonna bother doing new textures or modelling new stuff, Im doing this map just to have some fun with the new engine.

It's got the Z's, the Psychos, and the city treats to make me pee in delight. Metaphorically.

Beautiful depth everywhere. I love it. Only gripe I have is the railing on the left has no depth in it cause I'm taking its simply a brush. Aren't we past that? Unless its non-player accessible in which case nevermind lol

Lovelly, cluttered, nicely cluttered, but plenty of room to move.

I just can't be excited though, the HL2 vibe has worn off stupidly quickly and anything that looks even vaguely like the SP levels inspires nothing but apathy in me.

Still, within those boundaries, neato job.

Well we all know mazzle has the ability to create the custom material, but I'm assuming time constraints means he can't. We can all agree this isn't apathy, rather his level looks extraordinary.

Well I really love it a lot. Best looking custom map I've seen so far. The scaling is spot on.

CURSED FETTER! I KNEW I SHOULD HAVE FIXED THE RAILING D:!!!!

But yeah, in general Ive been using alot of brush based railing, simply because the prop railings dont match my measurements and architecture. Also note that Ive just started fiddling with the skybox so its like my 3rd try, still learning I guess D:

But thanks guys, really appreciate it, actually had my doubts about the map until I compiled it

Very very nice. Captures the feel of an actual city rather than a set of buildings around roads. Can't wait to see more

Looks great Mazy. I would say it reminds me of HL2 SP, but that didn't have as much interesting height variation

Technically it looks nice mazzle but you can do it better imo. I mean, it looks a lot like most HL2 maps, same setting, same sky etc... Add some crazy twists to the map, you know how to do that

Totally agree! I like the cluttered feeling and the colors and variation in the area, but the depth of the level is the real key here. Awesome job!

    Uuuuh, shiny.

I have to agree with few of the longfangs here, it looks tad like the c17 maps in HL2 SP but actually not that dull, this seems to have some personality, atleast judging by the material we have.

Why isn't anyone doing maps inspired easily by the coolest map in HL2 SP, ravenholm puzzle part. I think I had the most fun with that place in the whole game.
