War of the Worlds....

    Rocked my world!! It is truly an amazing film... 2 hours of complete intensity. SS really did a great job directing this movie.

    As for acting Dakota Fanning (the little girl from Man on Fire) did an excellent job as always. Suprisingly enough Tom Cruise did a great job playing the immature dad. I would suggest everyone sees this movie.... it is truly amazing.

    Seeing it tomorrow. Tom Cruise is a badass actor, and Dakota Fanning never seems to disappoint. What can you say about SS other than he's one of if not the best director there is around. I'm so hyped.

    Its an adaptation of the radio broadcast, so duh its a ripoff

    Its getting awesome reviews over here (Canada, and in the US as well)

    Hehe there is a part in the movie where they turn on the radio and it gives out one of the test emergency signal announcment deals and the guys goes "This is the emergency signal sound... this is only a test... if not a test an emergency official will come on and announce the emergency... this is only a test... thank you".... Now I understand why that was in the movie because of that radio broadcast

    Just saw it this afternoon. I thought it was awesome. The movie doesn't waste that much time getting started either.

    Probably one of the few Tom Cruise movies where you see the character on screen, rather than a character, played by Tom Cruise.

    And Dakota Fanning scares me.

    Amazing movie.....I thought it was honestly spectacular. Great acting, an amazing story line, and beatutiful special effects, all blended togheter into a incredible flim.

    I heard about the ending ruining the movie before I saw it but I can assure you IT DOES NOT.

    Spielberg always delivers so I didn't really pay attention to any criticism.

    i definitely liked it...though maybe not quite as much as some people here but to anyone who hasn't seen it, you should go see it.

    I think Speilberg's take on it is interesting, as his motif has always been family and redemption. This movie is no different and at its core it is about a family surviving an impossible crisis. On that level he proved once again why he is one of the best filmmakers evararererr.

    Dakota Fanning once again did a great job, though this was the first time I've seen her play a character who wasn't wise beyond her years in every way. Go watch "Taken" on DVD (Sci-Fi channel original movie)...also a Speilberg project.

    Honestly if I hadn't read the book I might have felt a little flat about the ending...but whatever go see it.

    OMG WHEN BRUCE WILLIS COMES OUT WITH HIS DUAL ROCKET LAUNCHER CHAINGUNS AND FIGHTS THE ALIENS AND GODZILLA AT ONCE OMG THAT WAS THE BESTEST EVER ESP WHEN HE SAYS "SEE YOU IN HELL, ALIENS" ...BESTEST WRITING EVER!!!!

    I would actually pay to see that.

    The little girl was scary as hell, always like which huge open eyes even in scenarios where things werent all fucked up.

    Kind of like Brian Peppers...

    Anyways it rocked, and the alien ********s were sweet as shit.
