Haha, it's not to be taken literally, guy. They use the same balls, it's just the rules are different. Baseball is more complex, which is why I prefer softball.

I remember playing softball a while ago and one of my friends got hit by the ball on his forehead and he had a red mark from the seam in the ball all over his face for at least a week. It was fckn' hilarious.

yeah that happened to me at summer camp when i was like 12 or something...fortunately my glove deflected some of the energy.

why isn't it called "monsterball" then?

I think its the same as we call "Slåball" (hitball), really simpliftyed baseball without a pitcher.
