I'm pretty sure heat is the main reason why they've made it so large. Air needs room to flow through that big heat sink.

PS4 Pro screams so loud that you need to crank up the volume or use headphones... That's what they try to avoid with this design.

If size is the answer to low noise, be it... sometimes the PS4-pro sounds like it's going to take off.

Its for air flow and that fucking huge heat sink. I imagine they are trying to solve the cooling issues all consoles generally have.

Think I'm slowly becoming more inclined towards the terribly named xbox one x series 9 for windows. Ps5 just looks ghastly with the more I see of it.

Wait your going to choose a piece of hardware for how it looks sitting in your living room (where you can literally just put it behind the TV) and not for the games on it?

Good so you agree then? Why would I buy something expensive then hide it behind the tv because of how ugly it is.

Because its not designed to be looked at but to play games on.... If you want something nice buy a vase.... I'm not sure if you are trolling right now....

Why dont they just design it to look like a 20 inch death cock then if looks don't matter?

Knowing dux's opinion trends he'll be masturbating viciously to this design in about 17 minutes.

I'm not saying they couldn't make it look nicer, I just find it odd that how it looks is so big a factor that it makes you not want to buy it at all. You buy a console to play games on it, if the games are amazing then that presumably should be the overriding factor.

I'm winding you up I couldn't care less about it. It is ugly though.

There was an interesting thought I heard from one of the big tech youtubers: the design (and size) could also be intentional for marketing purposes in the sense that when that stuff is in the background of their videos, people will notice, while something stealth will just go unnoticed.

If they want it to be noticed then my 20 inch death cock idea is the way forward. Everyone be like why does that monster have a a ps5 logo on it? Makes perfect sense.
